Got my blue Ammit today. Had just enough of that fused clapton wire left over from yesterday to make a 4/5 wrap around a #25 drillbit, thought my normal #20 would be too big and I bet I was right. Ohmed out at 0.10 ohms.

Smaller form factor than the Pharaoh is nice. Also means a smaller deck. Took a bit more fiddling to get the coil situated. And tight chimney, you cant leave ANY wire hanging out of the backside of the terminals.

Let me run a tank through and break it in before I pass final judgement, but so far I like it. This tank would even give @Mowgli a run for his money.

Installing AV updates just rebooted my PC for the first time in a while.
In device manager I see a new process called ecigstats.exe is running.
It's associated with escribe right?

Actually, once it was shown to me that claptons could indeed work in TC, I decided to them a go. Previous attempts at claptons failed TC and I am not willing to give up TC.

That being said, I have three attys in front of me right now:

1. A Merlin with a single wire 4mm 26g TI coil.
2. A Pharaoh with a TI clapton (made by someone else)
3. A Ammit with a TI clapton

The Merlin has the best flavor by a long shot, the Pharaoh has a heavier hit, the Ammit hits strong like the pharoah but a tick better flavor.

Now, keep in mind the difference could be, and probably is, in my builds. I have had a lot longer to tweak the Merlin than I have the other two.

I have a Merlin a Pharaoh & an Ammit25 in front of me to
All three running Ti Clapton coils For me the Pharaoh is # 1 the Ammit 25 #2 & the Merlin #3
IDK what it is about the darn Pharaoh! but I get such a great flavourful hit off it, it's intoxicating
To be fair the Pharaoh use twice as much juice as the Merlin & still quite a bit more than the Ammit 25.
So that mite be why it works so well for me?

Those are some pretty but sleepyhead eyes. How many know what those things are at the top, upper right hand corner? I haven't seen them in a long time. ETA: Hint, city folks probably wouldn't use them as much as country folk.

Question for you guys who have built the modcrate DNA75C. I have the battery sleds and the board screen holder from Shapeways. Did you hardwire the battery or use some sort of clip\contact for the battery sled?

2nd attempt at winding fused claptons without a jig. Came out much better, although the first 40% of my "stick" was waste until I figured out tensions and angles. Used 24/30 gauge this time. This should get even easier once I get the jig.

This is cool though, every premade "bought" clapton I have ever tried never worked in TC, these do!!!

These seem to work in anything I put them in... ofc I also build some but nothing beats not having to deal w/ it yourself.

*New* Spooled Clapton Wire (26g/30g) (Gr. 430 SS)

When building them myself I prefer NiFe52 or NiFe52/SS430
