Might be a good time to cook a nice dinner for her......

She's the German cook in the family, I have bachelor grade cooking skills. I can't come close to what she can make, she won't eat 95% of what I cook. :( But I like the way you think Mike, I'll take her out tonight. :thumb:

Sitting down, facing forward.
Haddock is good, Willie, heck any kind of fish is good.

Update on my problem with the K1. I thought it was fixed but the fire button kept sticking, both in fire and then not firing. I just took it apart and took the sharp corners off the flange on the fire button, put silicon lube on the button and housing, re-assembled it and checked it out, before completely assembling it. The darn thing stuck again, but this time I found the problem. The ribbon cable for the display was catching the flange on the button, sometimes...DUHHHHH. Should have looked at that the first time but without pressing the button with it open and a jewelers loupe on I wouldn't have seen it. A little work with some ceramic tweezers and a toothpick took care of that problem.

We love deep fried haddock, we get it at least once a month on Fridays from a good local seafood store, you pick the pieces you want and they bread em & drop em right in the fryer, always a long line but it moves fast. With NYC only a 4 hour drive there are a lot of trucks that make daily runs up here with seafood, usually what we get is yesterdays catch but that's not bad for not living on the coast and a whole lot fresher then the supermarket's fish. Sometimes you'll see one of the trucks setting in a parking lot, they set up there and sell you fish right off the back of the truck, cheaper but your rolling the dice of what you'll get. We always buy at the seafood store, it's a family own store on the south side of town, use to the the Italian section, it's been there since I was a kid, you know you'll get high quality at a fair price there. Once in a while I get a half case of little necks and steam em up, I can eat a ton of em!

I made chicken and dumplings...comfort food :)

I LOVE a good chicken and dumplings or chicken and biscuits! There's a BBQ pit near here that makes chicken and biscuits using the BBQ chicken meat, it's different but pretty good.

I love clams, especially half shells. We used to do a company picnic on Memorial Day back when I was a bizmiss man. We'd get a bushel crate of half shells and a bushel crate of steamers. I had the strongest hands so I was the "official" clam shucker. Problem was, I'd shuck one, put it on the plate, shuck the next one, eat it and so on. We got our clams from a commercial clammer we knew and they had been in tanks for a week before we got them so they were clean and soooo good.

A good Atty on a dna is still my go-to, but the convenience of the Penguin has its attractions.
The form-factor looks quite similar that of the squonkers that I use -- shirt-pocket friendly. :)
