Sitting down, facing forward.
I was impressed with automatic transmissions in trucks way back when they first started showing up. The local pre-mix company bought some of them. I stopped next to one at a light on a dual lane highway. When we took off, he kept up with me with no problem, and I was in a Lincoln. Granted, he was empty, on the way back to the barn, but a pre-mix truck is still a pretty heavy vehicle even when empty.

I rebuilt the Merlin with a clapton coil. I did a dry burn, or six, to get the hot spots out and arranged the wraps so they are nicely spaced. Spent a lot of time fussing with the wick trying to get it "just so" so there is no seepage. It works OK, but I have to say that overall I'm not all that impressed by claptons. I get similar results with Ti and SS430, so far in both of the atomizers I've tried them in.

Well I think I finally broke my beater mod (it's a vape shark dna75), the fire button went all mushy and then a day later stopped working, this happened before & I was able to take apart & fix it with a tiny piece of a cannibalized old sxk board..

How much would be the total cost of building aluminum dna75c 2x700 mod? With the sleds & all I mean. If the cost is around $100 anyway I'm wondering if I shouldn't just buy one of these instead...
$119.00 (Free Shipping) Authentic Lost Vape Mirage DNA75C TC VW APV Box Mod (Mirage DNA75C, Black (Resin/Green Agate)) at m.FastTech.com
I think map code brings it down to $100 or so, can't tell rn bc doesn't work on mobile... either way I need a new beater mod :(

The cost might be less if you DIY, but not by much.

These days, the only real reason to DIY is for the satisfaction of crafting it yourself. Otherwise, pick a reputable off the shelf model and save yourself the learning curve of DIY.

If you want a tough, inexpensive, beater try an Aegis. Yeah, it isn't an Evolv based chipset but it's the toughest mod out there and it does perform well with a 2X700 or a 26650 and will take an 18650. Throw a silicon sleeve on it and it should last a really long time.

ow much would be the total cost of building aluminum dna75c 2x700 mod? With the sleds & all I mean.
Well $15 + shipping for the Enclosure,$18 + shipping SW internal parts (Screen holder Battery Sled),
$40 + shipping for the 75c ( if you know were to look) $5 for a 510 & misc parts
So aprox $100.
I have one of these, $76.78 Authentic VapeCige SD75C 75W TC VW APV Box Mod - 1-75W / 200-600'F(100-300'C) / 1*18650/1*26650 / OLED screen at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping $69 with discount code! Free Shipping :) Holds 26650/18650 & up to a 30mm atty.

Like Mike all ready said DIY'ing is not Cheeper! It is more satisfying :)

Back in the late 80's when I first started to see auto trans in big trucks, they were few & far between.
Today how ever they are becoming the norm, not the exception :)
For good reason, compare comparable trucks with & with out auto trans.
Empty the Auto blasts by like a rocket (fast as a pick up) Even loaded climbs hills just as well or better :)

I'm not all that impressed by claptons.

Your not trying Hard Enough :D

you did follow mark's more detailed instructions? :?:

New ECF Tapatalk Forum Name - "EC Forum"
The old ECF Tapatalk forum, valid until 10 Nov 2017, is broken. It looks "live", but functions such as Participated Threads, Web View, Copy URL are not updating properly.

In Tapatalk:
Delete your existing connection to ECF.
Choose to Add Forum, and search for EC Forum.
Choose to login with new username/password. Your existing ECF login will be broken, as it points towards the old ECF Tapatalk connection.
Provide your normal ECF username and password.
Participated Threads, Web View, image display, etc. should now be working.

If it takes more work, tweaking, dancing naked under the light of the full moon during a rain storm with an eggplant on my head or anything else other than what I'm doing...it just plain ain't worth the effort. Why jump through hoops when a simple coil works as well with out jumping? Besides, the neighbors would complain about that dance.

Well also I'd get a mod made out of aluminum vs soft zinc alloy (my mods spend a good bit of time bouncing off the ground) & I'd know for sure the wire guage & solders were adequate, but I've done it before so it's not a big deal, my gf uses a mod I put together for her.

edit: Actually I've taken lost vape products apart before & they do a good job so it's just the aluminum & the fun part of putting it together really. It's like Legos as a kid.

Slickwilly I finally remembered to take a pic, as you can see these long ones are pretty much the perfect length.

In case anyone runs into that black screw issue & need to order some. The ones I ordered haven't arrived yet but at least I know that two of the ones I got are going to fit & have extras.

Why is it called "ec forum"? Also if you get it from the browser it gives you the old ecf where pics don't work, you need to do a search in Tapatalk for "ec forum".
