Wonder how satisfying your stick would be stuck for hours in bumper to bumper traffic?
Ease that clutch out, now push it back in! over & over again :(
Been there, done that. Better to avoid that kind of traffic. :D

So true, I drive manual & I avoid traffic at all costs, I'll go into neighborhoods if I have to but I normally don't have to sit in traffic & I live in one of the busiest areas in the US. it definitely helps to know the area & I love older places (like many areas in DC) that look like a spreadsheet on a map. When it's like that, you don't need to be in traffic if you don't want, you do a lot of following though but it moves.

Truth be told, there are "automatic" transmissions these days that out-perform traditional manuals. But for me at least, they're nowhere near as satisfying to drive.
Yeah, my dad's new truck is 390hp normally aspirated, with a 7 speed transmission that (is constantly shifting) can shift faster than you & also has a dual stage clutch in it.

Your man card. Turn it in. :p

I know right... what?

Hey guys I got a question that I've been fumbling with for a while, I have thus vaporizer that lets just say is for vaporizing dry materials, it has basically a replaceable base w/ some type of coil that heats the heating element in there, which is basically a mini ceramic, oven looking thing... now the reason I've been pretty sure this contains some form of TC wire inside it is bc I've seen the resistance go from
cold
7f5896bf78120f6181eba4371f5043a3.jpg

to hot
92ce0551062ff69a078ff6c4be9aa803.jpg

& I have a TC profile that, kind of works using a material profile for SSV's number#2 0.4mm titanium wire... But the biggest clue I have is to whatever wire type it is that ohms reading, this is the second one I've had & the first had basically the same range hot/cold. Does anyone know of a wire type can do that? Been using these a couple of years now, & I've messed around with profiles until now to when it's somewhat TC'ish... I'd say it's better than anything you can buy but if I can get TC working 100% it'd be perfect.

Bumper to bumper traffic, going up hill in downtown Halifax during a snow storm. Rear wheel drive pickup truck with all season tires and no traction control. ;)

Let me tell you it builds character! :D

Sitting down, facing forward.
I tried squonking. The vape was good, no question, but I just couldn't get past the flavor the bottle brought to the mix, tastes like crap even after a year of trying to clean it with everything I can think of that won't melt the plastic. Maybe I should try another, different, squonk mod with different bottles 'cuz Kanger sure ain't known for high quality. I do use a dripper on it now. I like the flavor and vapor quite a bit but find having to drip a PITA and then some. It took me some time to figure out how much to drip in at a time, and lots of wiping up overage, but it's still a PITA. I use an Innokin iCan for dripping into it. The PITA of having to drip, and trying to do that while doing something else, like driving for example, just ain't worth the trouble to me. I use it in my "office" which means at home only, sitting down, with the desk to provide work space to fill it and filling happens too often. Give me a properly coiled and wicked Aromamizer and I'm a happy camper.

I used to drive Triumphs, in my somewhat younger years. I was going to school north of Newark, NJ, and living in Freehold so I used the Garden State PARKway (so aptly named) to get to and from. Fridays were the worst. Stop and go for up to 40 or 50 miles worth out of a 60 mile trip. I used to have to pull over, get out, and walk off the leg cramps and trembles from that dual stage, hydraulic, clutch. On the other hand, blasting down a nice country road, working the curves and gears, on a nice summer day with the top down is hard to beat. I finally gave up on stick shifts, other than for a work pick-up trucks, after the '69 Camaro and commuting from, basically, the Lincoln Tunnel and Lakewood, call that a 70 mile, each way, trip. Summer time traffic on Fridays cured me of the stick shift.

The thing I don't like about autos is the shifting is all wonky and not at all how I want it, (& I have to drive my dad's [7 speed ram], and my gf's [6 speed Acura] auto's all the time) like it'll shift up when I mashed the gas & wanted down, takes itself out of gear around turns & down hills, makes it harder to quickly pass people who are doing something idiotic or dangerous etc... not my fave & they are a problem for me bc 99% of the people who use them never learn to drive manual or even know they exist, these are the people who park right up my ... on a really steep hill & other stupid things I won't mention. I think that all behind the wheel courses should be in manual, if only to teach people to be considerate.

Plus, nobody ever borrows my car [emoji23] freinds ask, and I say yeah just to see their face, the amazing thing is how many of them ask "whats this 3rd pedal for?" scary.

No that happens with all of them, there will always be some chemically/plastic taste, the silicone/soft ones are the best of the ones I've tried & eventually take on the smell of the juice you're using in it but it's there. Like all things though you do eventually get used to it.

The thing I don't like about autos is the shifting
Even with the newer multi speed transmissions, you can choose to shift manually :)

The day of the manual gear box is coming to an end! Even Big trucks today are mostly converting to Auto trans. I am presenting lusting over an Auto trans Dump Truck! It seems pointless to shift gears, when a machine can do it perfectly for you.
I have tried the new "Mack'" with 8 & 12 Speed autos :) What an improvement over the 10 & 18 speed manuals were still using.

Yeah I've tried it, my dad's has the paddles and gf's has the shifter but I don't like it for a number of reasons, the biggest is they will automatically shift up/down anyway at certain rpms, & if I want to go from 4/5th to 2nd for going around a corner, ramp or down a hill it's all -1, - 1, -1 and it's so slow by the time I'm in the correct gear I'm already around the corner or down the hill. tbh idk if anyone uses those, it's easier to just let them do their own thing.

I've been getting an error in eScribe updating the the 75C, it's been coming up with a dialog box about the "Curve must be strictly increasing." This would only happen if I downloaded the settings, made a theme change or something minor and tried to upload the settings back.

It seems to be the Kanthal wire profile from Steam Enigne. If I use that CSV the above error happens on update, if I delete the Kanthal material from the mod it updates no problem.

I have redownloaded the SE Kanthal wire profile a few times resulting in the same problem, so I'm just using the default "Watts" wire profile. Another funny thing was, anytime I tried to use the Kanthal profile to dry burn wire, I would get a "Temperature Protection" error immediately. Cecking the setting on the profile just showed regular wattage settings without any temperature options.

I put a triple parallel 28ga SS430 (Unk) coil in the Squi and it's working perfectly out of the box. I never shut off the PreHeat like I did on the DNA75, and think that might actually contribute to the proper functioning of the 75C. I left it at the default of 75W/5 Punch, is this a possibility or am I grabbing at straws?

Well I think I finally broke my beater mod (it's a vape shark dna75), the fire button went all mushy and then a day later stopped working, this happened before & I was able to take apart & fix it with a tiny piece of a cannibalized old sxk board..

How much would be the total cost of building aluminum dna75c 2x700 mod? With the sleds & all I mean. If the cost is around $100 anyway I'm wondering if I shouldn't just buy one of these instead...
$119.00 (Free Shipping) Authentic Lost Vape Mirage DNA75C TC VW APV Box Mod (Mirage DNA75C, Black (Resin/Green Agate)) at m.FastTech.com
I think map code brings it down to $100 or so, can't tell rn bc doesn't work on mobile... either way I need a new beater mod :(
