What a weekend, our whole county got flooded bad. My "finished & carpeted basement was under 3" of water.

These are pictures from work:

This car floated and got washed into the storm drain.

yup! my rain gauge overflowed at 6'' but seepage into the basement was minimal and went straight down the drain. i don't think i could handle a flooding right now. i feel sorry for all who have to face a basement like mike's and there are plenty :(

That really sucks! Mother Nature can be a real Bword!
Looks like a Job for ServPro!

It probably depends on the crew that shows up on a particular job site but I have NEVER had good luck with servpro. Total 1/2-as-ed work. Rant complete.

We have dozens of their green machines in place since Saturday. Each machine has a meter on it, and they charge by the hour.

I'm on the bottom level of a condo & I got a bit worried but were up on a concrete slab, even so the water out back came up to about an inch of where it might of been up on my porch & under the back door. & this is up on a hill, I took off work & decided to be here in case something happened, most of the time I'm glad I live on the lowest floor bc heating & ac is so cheap but this is was kinda scary... not sure about the other condos as it's a big complex but i think some of them had to of gotten flooded, even though the water didn't make it to the top of the slab i heard my sump pump in the utility room running pretty much constantly.

I took the bass boat out on the river today to both run the motor after some maintenance & look around, and it's pretty much a mess out there... It's a .5-1mi wider than it should be, a bunch of big old trees are floating down the river & some of the houses on the Maryland side are now in the river.
