Went out with a few quads today. The new XJ470 build was the only reliable one :/. I actually remembered to take some pics.

Bought a Stanley FatMax 28" toolbox to transport my quads.

Looks like you had a nice day out, that looks fun! And that tool box is a perfect fit! How high can they get and how far out without loosing control over them?

I figured today was the last nice day before it gets cold so I went out with my dog. The little ....... jumped in a swamp and came back all wet and smelly . I tied him down after that and gave him a bath when we got home.

I was looking for something to transport it but didnt' want to spend $180 for a Pelican case. I don't need something that protective or expensive. I was going to just use a storage box when I came across this toolbox. Apparently, there's a lot of r/c guys that use this toolbox for their helicopters. $30 shipped from Amazon was a smokin' deal. Another $10 for foam so it doesn't rattle around in there and it works for me. It's a lot easier to transport my stuff to/from the flying fields.

The video started cutting out at 650m so I had to turn around but I had a strong transmitter signal (rssi). The video transmitter is only 250mw so that's about the limit for the antennas I was using (circular polarized). I think the radio and receiver I was using (Taranis X9D Plus and X8R) can go about 2 miles. I have the flight controller limit height to 300m and distance to 1500m. If I lose signal or trigger failsafe manually, it has a return to home function and I can override when it gets within range or just let it land.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Just catching up. We were away visiting friends and picked up our new puppy. Started yesterday in Martinsville, VA, drove to about 30 miles south of Florence, SC, then non-stop back home. We got in at 3 this morning. The puppy is cute and I'll remember your swamp story, KTM.

Congrats on the new pup!

Spirit got to run around for a while so he didn't mind and was just relaxing in the shade.
