Congrats Tibs :) A D+ is way better than you had :)

So my VT75 nano is malfunctioning :( It's only 2 months old, unfortunately I got it from GB.
Trying to talk to their support isn't easy.
Out of the blue it started to read resistance way higher than actual, also the temp readings are way out.
It don't operate properly in any mode TC or watts. Even in E-Scribe the atomizer analyzer reads 3 times the resistance :( I opened it up & all looks good, the board screws are all there & the soldering looks solid.
I read a post at the Evolv forum & there is a guy with the exact same simptons, no solutions were offered in the replies.
I'm wondering if it could be the board, or their wanky 510 setup?

So should I keep trying to talk to GB support? or just try to replace the board my self?
If the board is the problem I'm pretty sure Evolv will help out, after the fact, if I explain I had an extra board & replaced it my self?

Any thoughts? do you's think it's a board issue or a 510 issue?

You could solder some leads to the board pos & neg outputs and connect a resistor/coil of known value to check the board. If it's not that then it has to be the 510, its solder joints or its wiring leads.

Thanks for the reply :)
The way this mod is setup the bottom of the 510 setup is the battery +
It would be way easier to just try a different board.
The 510 is some wanky 3 piece plastic unit :( if it's a 510 issue I'm afraid I'm sol :(

If that's the one with a screw on the bottom try giving that a tweak, same for the board screws, looking OK doesn't always mean a good connection. If you have to go to GB it seems to help if you are on a forum where they have a rep to post and tag the rep or hit them on facebook.

Thanks for the reply Bad :)
It is not the one with the screw, it is the nano.
A simple board swap did nothing :( Same symptoms still apply.
I cleaned up all the board mount posts in the case, so as to get a solid ground.
I'm fairly certain now it's in the 510 connector :(
I guess il wait and see what happens with GB, cause now I would have to try and disassemble the plastic 510. I'm fairly certain If I try that it will break :(

There are a lot of mod parts suppliers these days. 510 connectors are easy to find in every shape and size. :thumb:

I'm well aware of this, only thing is the 510 setup in this nano is unique to this mod.
If it comes down to it, I'm sure I can magiver some thing in there to work :)

Googling pics of VT75 nano I remember that the top outer of the 510 can become lose, I would take it out, clean and re-tighten. This bit Hcigar VT75/VT75 nano 510 cap

I also see 2 screw on top and 2 or 3 on the bottom connecting the C frame, so 510 -ve to the chassis.

Steamer - Sorry you're having problems with your VT75 Nano. I have a VT75 Nano too and while it's nice and small, the 510 is a horrible design with no easy mod to make it reliable. I don't really use it anymore.

I've been using my Silo 950/1300 and ERM+ mods and I'm spoiled with the solid design of these mods. I even like them better than my Vaporsharks (and I LOVE my Vaporsharks!). My Hana v200 had some issues at first (screen ribbon and 510) but after resolving those issues, it's been solid too. The only other mod I would recommend is the Target Mini for a tiny stealth vape.

And on the atomizer front, I've been very happy with my KF5 and KM3 but I started using my Serpent Mini more and its been found to be reliable and leak free so I built another one. Flavor is on par with the KM3 and a bit better than the KF5. The build deck is big and easy to use. I had a 7 wrap 3mm ID 430ss in the first one and just built another with a 9 wrap 3mm ID 430ss. Both work great.

Don't tighten it too much. The C frame spreads if you tighten either the 510 plate or battery cover too much. I use Noalox on the thread of the 510 plate and it's been ok so far but still don't trust the mod.

I hear you on the poor 510 design :(
I got it on sale & really like the small form factor, But as far as well built mods go, it's not winning any awards!
I really like my Silos also, the 1300's are a great balance of size & battery life :) The 950's are a sturdy well built enclosure also.
On the atty front I'm getting enormous flavour with single 4mm coils in my Merlins :)
The rose V3 despite of the Poly Carbonate tank is a great performer.
The Supreme's OG & lite are still my daily drivers, loving the Supremes :)
My post-less decks from FT are some were in Canada :) I can't wait to try a huge 4mm+ single coil in the Supremes :)
