The DNA75C reference mod is thinner than the original reference mod. It would be a feat to fit a cradle in there.

Doubt Modcrate would benefit from altering back case dimensions from the original Silo.

That Sucks :( If it were the same size an 18650 cradle would fit.
Not very convenient having a fixed battery, when a replaceable would have been much nicer.

But it made it small, smallest Evolv mod yet.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I just did an "eyeball" of a MC/DNA75 and there appears to be about an eighth inch of clearance between the top of the battery, popped the back and aligned things, and inside wall of the case back when it's assembled. That may account for enough to use a sled in the 75C. Keep us posted Steamer.

I am confused though, I wish they listed the enclosure dimensions.

"21700 Battery tray/board mount compatible with the Silo75C from Mod Crate"

Silo75C 21700 Battery Tray/board mount by Fi2ost on Shapeways

I can find it right now, But Russ posted a 3D printed sled for the silo pic.
The header was reduce build time by half or some thing like that?
I think he makes a special fit sled for the silo ( 3D printed)
It may not be easy cause he's hard to get a reply from, but maybe some one can contact him about it?

I don't have one in hand but it looks to me that it's the front half that's smaller with the back being the same.

I know the Facebook page said it was compatible with 21700 so they must have held original dimensions.

If Mike is right, you could always try & solder a wire to a washer the size of a thin circular magnet & sandwich in between then tape paper or plastic strip into a tube form & embed magnets in hot glue or plastic using combination of these two techniques.

No idea how it would hold up voltage drop wise though.

You'd probably be better off trying to CD weld directly to the battery, but that would be a bear with 14 or 16 gauge wire. Maybe use multiple wires of a lighter gauge to simplify welding and provide a heavy enough conductor. Alternately, some of the aluminum "solders" might do the trick but they do need some relatively high heat, ~500F or higher.

On the Evolv DNA75C, the front half of the clam shell (where the board mounts) is identical dimensions (except for the cutouts) to the original DNA75 reference mod. It is the back half of the clam shell that is skinnier. I dont have an original 75 Reference case in front of me, but the Evolv DNA75C reference case is 34mm thick at its thickest point.

He claims this bat sled will fit the Silo75C. In reading it, it sounds like the back side of the battery sled is form fitted to be a board mount as well, that might very well reclaim enough space. That also "might" account for the fact that he never mentions board mounting screws.

Although I still have not seen specs on his enclosure, nor a rear view, so I dont know if he made it thicker than Evolv's or not. This is just vague enough to leave a lot of questions.
