When I said "full fill" I meant the 80%/20 pound mark. The pre-fills just seem to have a tendency to only fill to eighteen pounds or less. Over a season that can account for a few extra tanks. When we first started using the Big Buddy I tracked how many hours of use I got out of a tank and the pre-fills always came up short by a few hours compared to the "professionally" filled ones.

There's a difference, too, between vendors. I tried another place, at first, and had wildly varying results from tank to tank as in up to four hours of difference and that was with the same guy "filling" those tanks. It sure didn't give me a warm, fuzzy, feeling.
Im lazy, I just do the "Blue Rhino" exchange.

But then I only have three tanks, and mostly just use propane to grill a steak once a week. The two spares are in case I need emergency heat. I have a natural gas stove, natural gas water heater, and a wood (or gas insert) burning fireplace, so I dont need to use the Tank Top Heaters very often. Usually just for some foolish outside social event in the winter.

checking in with a need for battery advice
wink-gif.698681
in this case though it's a lap top battery. as you know i upgraded to windows 10 due to taking my son's reject :D he had bought a new battery but was not able to get a charge. i got a new adapter and things seemed well with one caveat - right from the beginning the battery stopped accepting a charge once it reached 82%. and it kept losing a bit day by day. i'm now at 54% and it won't budge :?: is this battery failing? anything i can do?
Are you sure you bought the right adapter? If it wasnt high enough current it could also give similar symptoms.

And as mentioned above, was it an OEM battery replacement, or an Amazon clone?

bought the right adapter down to the little blue led light that bugs the heck out of me ;)

as to the battery - that was one of those 'compatibles' the boy bought :D
A little square of black electrical tape will take care of the blue annoyance.

you might want to set SCC to 2.65 volts as well.

Thanks for the heads up :) That one little adjustment did the trick! Down below 40% now & no more battery gauge flashing :)
Just a FYI the Sanyo 20700b is an amazing battery! It took all day & 2 full tanks (K-F V5) just to get it down below 40%. I'm running a Ti single coil @ .24 in TC & can get all most 3 full tanks on a single charge!

There is a whole lot more than 3D printing going on there. They are modeling the environment the router is in and through computational dynamics determining the specific shape of reflector necessary for that specific router and environment to enhance the signal in an area at the expense of less signal in other areas. Nothing "simple" about it.

Ironic trivia concerning the ability to do such things. Back in the 60's Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works was tasked with reducing the radar observability of a new plane. Along the journey (IIRC in the 70's) a mathematician at the Skunk Works was reading through some translated Russian math documents and had an epiphany. A Russian mathematician's equations could be used to model the radar return signature of a 3D model. So a Russian geek's idea collected by the CIA and followed through by an American geek led to the ability to model radio reflections in a 3 dimensional environment and "stealth" technology was born.

Whatever happened to the somewhat low tech but still effective use of a Pringles tube as a directional antenna to improve a wifi connection?
