I'm not warming up to it yet :( IDK why? I still like Old School TC :)
I guess I haven't really given it an honest shot, cause I'm happy with my vape :)
No it's ok really. Just some of us just likes all of the pretty lights.

The least trouble I have ever had with a clapton. None of that having to worry about it changing resistance crap. Actually made me warm back up to them.

Replay mode? Do I need to connect my 250 to eScribe or was that already in there from the beginning? Also, will Replay mode push temps past the 450°F mark? Cuz I'm paranoid like that...

This may restore my faith in claptons, but I'm still totally done with gunked up Ti coils.

No, Replay in not in the USA firmware. You would have to use eScribe to update to the International Firmware to get it.

Will replay push temps past 450f - yes - if you choose to allow it to.
  • You can run replay in watts mode in which case there is no temp limiting.
  • However, you can also run replay in TC mode, which is what I do, and then you can choose your upper temp limit.

Do you punish yourself too, if you break those rules? [emoji38]
Like self flaggellation? lol no I just don't break them. It's not anything crazy though, like no vaping around other people etc.

You can run SS430 Claptons instead :) They work good in TC & can be dry burned to De-junk :)
TBH I find Ti has a little better flavour note, but SS430 is way easier to maintain :)

Unflavored on TI claptons running on REPLAY is giving me pretty damn good results, and gunking hasnt really been an issue at all.

Unflavoured being the "Key" Word! IMO the severity & frequency of Gunking is directly affected by whats in your flavouring?
I'm sure even unflavoured will eventually gunk up the coil but at a longer interval :)
I was just offering the MadOzodi an alternative to Ti :)
I personally don't have an issue with Gunked up Ti Claptons :) I have accepted they have a shorter life span than say a SS430 Clapton, But I have bought a life time supply of Ti & just spin up a new one :)

Once I get the 250Cs built I may revisit SS430 Claptons again. Their performance was to erratic for my tastes, but maybe, just maybe, Replay will help them.

I'm having way better results with the SS430 Claptons I'm building my self!
The AVS 430's i tried were a bit erratic, the first one I tried was perfect, second one would fall out of TC occasionally :( I'm still running that first one with no issues :)
Maybe because I used SS316 as a wrap? but the resitence of the home made one's is substantially lower than the AVS :)
I cant argue that the 430 is way easier to maintain :) I rewicked one & just glowed it red, rewicked & it's good as new :)
BTW I stopped using the AVS Claptons, I use the home made SS430 Claptons now :)
