Thinking maybe I wish I still had mine.

I think I am totally confused now and it's late. And I got something like the stomach flu the last time I had a beer and I have been too afraid to touch alcohol ever since (still have 12 bottles in the frig). So I can't blame it on alcohol.Typo Bill? If the tcr is set too low then the tfr values will be too low as well. That will cause the coil temp to be cooler than set temp, unless I'm having one of my lisdexic fits.
You need to try an iJoy Captain PD270 (Total PoS for TC) I don't even think iJoy knows what TC is or how it's supposed to work...
But don't get your hopes up; he's no longer making them.
Yeah, it seems that after almost four years and two generations of mods, the demand for them had been fulfilled. Also, there was never really a two year wait; that was hypothetical if nobody dropped out when their turn came up.Why? Did demand fizzle out? I thought He'ed be making those till the cows came home.
There used to be a 2 year waiting list![]()
Right, "could" have to wait two years was a worst-case estimate based on the number of people who had signed up, and his capacity to produce them. Out of fairness to others, I never signed up for more than one slot at a time, and I think the longest I actually had to wait between mods was a bit over one year.So no one really waited 2 years? I had bought a fancy piece of wood, had it sent to Him & then I was told I could have to wait 2 years! I'm not that patientSo I gifted him the Wood & decided it was to long of a wait.
He was nice enough to send me a Pic of the mod he eventually made for some one else, out of my Wood![]()

I agree. I really love my mods' DNA.
Maple DNA, Koa DNA, Rosewood DNA, Walnut DNA, Ironwood DNA, Box Edler DNA, Apricot DNA, etc...

Indeed; it was a play on words. A tree has DNA, right?I am calling "911", my heart has given up the ghost. Rossum with a regulated squonker. Take me now, Lord, I've seen it all.
I'll bet he's just tricking us.
Not just a mod, but an atty too!
Yet there are people in goobermint who still believe they can somehow put the genie back in the bottle.![]()
A "genie" Good Choice of wordsDon't the wish's a "genie" grants all ways backfire on the Wishers?

However, in 2014 I did build some regulated squonkers; I'm sure I've posted pictures of them here...

That was my go-to device for about a year, first as a DNA 30, then as a 40, and people thought I was nuts running titanium wire instead of nickel.
Then the DNA 40 in it failed. I had plenty of spares (still do thanks to Mike's CoOps!), but I was too busy to replace it, so started using my mechs full time. Eventually, I decided that for me, mechs were more than adequate, and in fact, have some compelling advantages:
- They don't fail in mysterious ways, such as thinking the UP button is always pressed, even when the wiring to the button is removed.
- If/when they do fail, they're generally quick and easy to fix.
- They remove the temptation keep cranking up the power to compensate for a build that's gotten dirty or just wasn't quite right to begin with.
- They don't kill batteries when I leave one unattended for a lengthy period of time. My last working GDNA has done that for the last year or so; leave a cell in it for more than a couple of weeks and it's at 0V.
Simple. Simple is good.![]()
