I don't disagree Bill :) But, it's a "Pod Mod"! Most will compare it to other pod mods
You can get a dna chipped device for around 25% more than a comparable non dna chip device!
This is 75% more than most pod mods :( I just see this in the wrong price range :(

Yeah but can you get a vape that small and fits anywhere and no problem to just drop in any pocket? I can't think of anything really in the DNA class anyway. It's perfect for a quick run into town or a spare mod in case your other one quits while you are away from home. I'd probably grab it when I go to the kitchen to make something to eat.

Hey Mike. I do the double insertion method a little differently. Instead of using two pieces that would fill the coil if used alone I split a piece that would be a little bigger than would fill the coil. That's how I get the 50% trim with little problems. As with everything vape related, YMMV.

So is that GDEAL squonker in the background.
Mundy assuredly built some of those 'cause he was part of the Beta crew for that project back in 2014. But I think what you're seeing there is a printed l'il pinch clone, most likely sized for a 20700 cell.

Some of you may remember (about a year ago) when I bought this high precision scale off ebay for the formaldehyde testing in the flame thread.

Some cop from Fresno CA just contacted me and said that the device was stolen from a local college.

I suspect the next step in the process is that they will want me to send it to them. I am tempted to dig in my heels and make them produce a court order for it. I bought it in good faith off ebay, spent even more money repairing it and getting it calibrated, and now a year later.........

Wonder how they knew you have it?
They must of Busted the seller? If they did they will need it back as evidence?
I'v all ways thought that eBay would be an easy outlet for "Stolen" Goods.
You have a ton of stuff up for sale with out a clear point of origin :(

With all the money that's wasted at colleges today, the cost of that scale doesn't mean diddly squat. Make them jump through every hoop, cross every "T" and dot every "I". Then if they win, make them pay the repair costs and shipping!

If it's a Police matter their getting it back! They could even potentially charge you with Possession :( It's a shame that some crook sold it you. But I would say this will end up being a total loss for you :(

Yup, if the police don't threaten with possession of stolen property it would surprise me. I'd ask them if the college even wants it back, they probably got paid by the insurance company for it and either replaced it or moved to a new model. The police may only want it as evidence so if you ask nice maybe you'll get it back once the case is closed on the person that lifted it, that is if the college doesn't want it back.

Yep, 20700 DIY printed pinch clone. That one started slowly leaking at the 510 so I was dismantling it for some TLC. Need to get it back in rotation because it is my kiwi (yum) flavor color co-ordinated mod. I do still have one GDeal DNA mod and a few of the GDeal mech's in the cabinet of "vape things I will probably never get rid of".

They havent threatened at all yet. In fact they made it clear I was not being charged with anything. I suppose that could all change if I dont send it back. I wonder what recourse California has in the state of Virginia though.

So, my AlpineTech GL2, dual 20700, 75C has become my favorite mod. RUns for five days, or more, on a charge and isn't that much bigger than an ERM+...OK it is heavier but it has Replay! Anyhow, it started acting up, not firing, acting like it had just been powered on, then not firing again. I was starting to lose my patience with it. Sitting where I do my most productive thinking, I took the back cover off when it went nuts again. The batteries appeared to be fine, then I pushed one down to check the spring tension. There wasn't any and the same for the second battery.

I used the battery sled from AlpineTech, against my better judgement, in the rush to get it built. The spring tension has broken the sled at both of the lower, negative end, corners. For a temporary fix I wedged it back up into position, but I'll be pulling that sled and putting a decent one in.

Mystery of a (non)defective DNA75C solved.
