I like the rotisserie chicken from Costco :) $ 7.99 Cad, well cooked & ready to Go!
Foods expensive today! the Costco chicken is a great deal :)

The wife buys those sometimes, she loves it because it's an easy meal, I'll eat it but I'm not a huge fan of it. Guess I've been spoiled, once you've had Cornell chicken, well.... There is a place about a 45 min drive from here that sells the Cornell chicken (other types as well) all year round, they do a ton of business --> Brooks BBQ :: Home When ever we are over that way we'll buy a bunch, it's nice to have it during the winter months. They also have a killer pulled pork and they make chicken and biscuits using the grilled chicken meat, it's pretty darn good but what makes it for me is the wonderful biscuits they make, like Grandma use to make from scratch using good old lard. :)

My tracking OCD is in high gear, my hcigar Inbox arrived in San Diego this morning, it will get delivered tomorrow which is 2 days earlier than expected. Now where's that email from Element, I sure hope they are planning to refund to my card rather than send me a check. But then again maybe they will just rip me off like they tried already.

I was an electronic watch guy from when they came out. Anyone old enough here to remember having to push a button to get the red LED display up to read the time?
Yes I remember those. They ate batteries like crazy. Want to use one for 10 years, you better buy a case of batteries to go with them.

There are watches with batteries that claim to last up to 10 years. Solar watches also claim to last 10 years since they give the rechargeable battery that long. But the rechargeable battery is replaceable too. Although after 10 years I probably want a new watch anyway. :)

My first wife gave me an Accutron when they came out...kept terrible time even after multiple visits to the factory for repairs.
Mine didn't last long. I think it lasted a few months and once during the winter I touched a light switch and static electricity hit my hand. The watch display went blank and never worked again. :(

Then I went to the Casio stuff with all the timers and other crap, but batteries were always a problem and I was never confident they were staying water resistant/proof after the first battery replacement.
Casio is one of my favorite watches since they have all of the cool stuff in most of their models. Damn like 99% of them are made out of plastic. :( I don't think you have to worry much about that water resistant/proof stuff if the o-ring isn't flattened, nicked, or if there isn't any dust and dirt anywhere. Heck some of them are good past 100 feet of water. If my super quick calculations are correct, that is like over 30PSI (probably more like 60PSI - okay I spent more time posting this then I did trying to figure it out,). What are you going to expose it to being that high? Clean it with a pressure washer perhaps?

Now I'm back to my Seiko, analog, mechanical, self winder. Yeah, I have to adjust the time by a minute or two every few days and change the date every other month but it keeps on working and never needs a battery. Another side benefit is that it won't stop if there's an EMP, the prepper in me. All the other electronic whizz bang time keeping dodges will be worthless if that ever happens.
Ah... I bought one of them in the 70's and I still have it. Wore it everywhere including working on cars and motorcycles. The crystal got all scratched up. All I needed was the crystal and I could change it myself. Well I heard the figure of 50 bucks and I said the heck with that idea and moved on.

Although talking about an EMP... if that did happen and most electronics do fry, I don't think I would be concerned about the date and time anymore. As I would be too busy with the chaos going around to care.

Yup, if we got hit with an EMP I'd be looking to move as deep into the woods as I could until civilization, law and order was restored. It is comforting to live in a small rural village, the thought of being someplace like NYC once society breaks down is a scary thought....... Even in a small village, a couple weeks after a EMP I'd fear people would start looking to forcibly take what ever they thought they could get, I'd rather ride it out in the woods away from that mess but I wouldn't want to do it in the middle of winter. I've always been drawn to those who live far out in the wilderness, off the land, man that sounds so peaceful away from it all. This man lived a life I would have loved to.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Date, and particularly, time might be critical at times during the chaos of an EMP.

The big problem is the chaos would spread everywhere, even the "deep woods" when people get desperate enough. Nothing is impregnable that us ordinary citizens can cobble together anyway.

Yep! Texas Instruments. I got one when they hit $20, which was still a fair amount of money back then; you could fill your car's empty tank several times for $20....

I dunno about that. I live 10 miles from the closest town and that town only has 2000 people. If an EMF hits, there will be most likely only a very few automobiles still running. And the gas stations will run out of gas quickly anyway. And without electricity, one would never to get it out of the underground tank unless they do so manually. And odds are, the tanks would be dry in no time anyway.

So the vast majority of raiding will be on foot. How many weapons and ammo could one carry on foot? Probably not a lot. Plus most of the people here are farmers and also hunters. So virtually everyone here probably could hold off anybody trying to steal anything. Plus someone would warn everyone else down my road that people are coming or that they need help with more rifles and ammo. And we would be more than happy to help our neighbors. And if anybody does have fuel, it will be us farmers with external fuel tanks that we use for our farm equipment.

So I really don't see strangers coming in and trying to take anything. I would think that anybody who tried would be dead pretty quickly. And I think anybody in town already knows this and attempting to come out here to raid would be just suicidal.

Wow! Lost Vape is my favorite mass produced mods. Let's see how many I got now?

x2 Triade DNA200
x2 Paranormal 250C
x2 Triade 250C
x4 Therion BF 75C
x4 Orion

Wow! That is 14 of them now. I like them because they are not cheaply made and built to last. And most of their models uses DNA boards. So what is not to like?

Considering a Paranormal 250C since dead-in-the-isopropyl-alcohol (can’t remember organic formula of Cs, Hs, and Os) ECF#15-250 has been collecting dust.

#76-200 is still chuggin along, but it just feels so dated. Good to see 18650 battery prices haven’t changed in the past 4 years or so!

If you do traditional TC? the new "C' chip isn't a big improvement!
If I were you, I would just replace the 250 in the ERM+ Quality doesn't go out of style :)

Yup...replacing the respective toast 250 and 200 boards in my ERM+eseses was pretty much decided for me!!!

Hooray for not having to buy 18650s? I should prolly buy multiple whatever Turnigy model lipos cuz my *bleep* soldering skills are rusty AF.

:D

Also, since I bought them however many months ago, I've determined the Dead Rabbit RDA pips the Drop RDA as far as my vaping style goes. I've also revisted ramie/china-grass and figured out how to make it wick like a champ; downside is that it requires ....-OCD prep.
