Not good for FT, or for co-ops I would imagine.
you mean to say there's been co-ops around here? ;)

anyhow, this would concern small packages only (~4lbs) coming from china. their dhl/ups shipping is subsidized by the chinese government

I have seen a few in dark alleys on the questionable side of town.

The way I read it, it could also allow the USPS to adjust their own International rates as well.

This would put the breaks of places like FT! The only reason they can be competaive, is the shipping subsidies from their government! Otherwise shipping from China would cost a fortune. This could be the end of "Cheep" vape Gear from China :(
I wonder if it will affect Us (Canada) To?

No expert but I would think shipping individual packages to each customers order would cost a lot more then if they opened a warehouse state side.

I would think shipping a cargo box to restock the warehouse would be a lot cheaper, then ship individual orders from here. I'm sure shipping cost would be involved but I think cheaper, maybe not.

It may prompt them to move warehousing/shipping a little closer to the US, like say Mexico. The US market is probably the largest vaping market so that would make sense.

I'm sure they will find a work around :)
With an increase in price! of coarse :(

Yeah, the exact same hardware will just be marketed for whacky oils........

I don't think it's going to be a vaping thing? I think it's going to be a China imports thing.
A work around will be expensive & inconvenient :(
FT works on a supply chain, they basically take orders for China manufactures & redistribute.
This will become way harder if they have to open distribution centres in North America :(
I foresee higher prices & less selections :(

Ugh, snowing pretty good here... A couple weeks ago I was using the A/C, it's too damn early! I saw the forecast for tonight showing mid 20's, went out this morning and drained the buried water line going out to the shop. I ran a line for an outside garden hose hook up out there, makes it handy to wash my hands and get a bucket of water when working on cars. Having to drain it in the fall has always been a sad day. Time to get the propane tanks filled for the shop heaters and start getting the snow blower ready. Another pass or two with the leaf bagger on the tractor then it will be time to take the mower deck off. Did I say I hate winter?

Exact same things going on here SlickWilly. It's even 23°F (-5°C) here right now. I drained the outside faucets for the winter about a week ago. I rarely use the garage/wood shop furnace (twice per 10 years maybe) and I wonder how much that pilot light burns per year of propane. All propane (house furnace, drier, garage) uses a 500 gallon tank which they come out to fill automatically and deduct it against my prepay. Snow blower quit a few years ago and maybe I'll just buy a new one. Probably too late to do anything about the leaves till spring. It's like this every fall, it rains during the fall and the leaves fall and then are too wet to pick up and then it gets coated full of snow for the winter. :(
