Looks like a good start from scratch project board :) But a retro fit? Were's the usb?
Most of my 250c's are lipo powered, how would I charge them? :(
I have 4 more spare screens, So I'm good for a bit :)
I watched a few videos on lipo powered PWM mods, they look nice for Big Power!
I'm a 45 watts kind of Guy & TC is my main stay :)
No USB on the PWM boards, all external or add on charge boards. Yeah the PWM's fire the full voltage of the battery pack, so not ideal for low wattage vaping. ;) Big Al has some PWM boards that take 6S so you are hitting the coil with 22.2V on each fire, all you control is the time delay between zero and full. A 4S would be much more reasonable with a 1.5 ohm build on a neutral deck, that only pulls 10A from the battery and gives you the same vape as a really low build on a 2S without the stress on the cells.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Anyone seen the video of two millennial males trying to figure out a rotary dial phone? They had four minutes to dial a number and failed. They'd dial a digit, with the handset in the cradle, decide it was wrong, then pick up the handset and hang it right up again. That means they have never seen an old movie let alone seen/used a rotary dial phone. There seemed to be somewhat a lack of deductive reasoning or methodical testing of theories as well. Amazing.

That got me thinking. I remember on my Grandparents farm an old crank phone where you told the operator who you wanted to talk with, not give her a number to connect you with. I do wonder what it'll be like for kids say 50 or 60 years from know. Wonder if they will be able to handle a smart phone?

I was looking at Friendly Flipper's BilletSmart USB cable to make a copy of it, should just be a matter of unhooking the screen and holding it in place as I already have a collection of header strips. I do have a cart with their MF bridge (non MTL) and a pack of the EUC ceramic's, comes to $92.15 CAD with taxes and Expedited shipping. I just need to decide if I really want to spend that much on a little metal tube. ;)

That cable looks Nice! @laurie9300 posted a pic of a nice one he made, didn't look too hard to make :)
You may know some thing I don't about the EUC coil heads? I sure wouldn't spend $90 CAD
on a Bridge for a Blister Pack Coil!
The Clone "A Tank" is under $10, the Atlantis 316L SS coils are sposto be nice in TC :)
There are a ton of options with the Atlantis coils :)
Heck for $90 CAD you can get a whole wack of bridges (clones), Plus some spare boro's to :)
I find it nice to have a spare boro all set up & just waiting, Swap & Go :)

Anybody interested in a Think Vape Finder DNA250C Box Mod for $82.79 in yellow? Other colors for $9.20 more using code: CND08. I believe that is the lowest price I've ever seen for a 250C. The Chinese is on holiday again till the 8th. So don't expect anything to happen with orders until after this.
Anybody get one of these back then? I got it in October and today I finally opened the package. And like most mass produced DNA mods, nothing is configured. Its lighter (297g w/sammies) than a Triade (334g). The buttons are nice. And they placed a tinted window on top of the screen. So even with full brightness, it is still dark. But at least it does vape like a DNA. :D

I used to dial by pushing down the hook with my finger like a telegraph key. Once you get the rhythm (remember the click - click - click - click when you dialed a number?) correct it's really easy to do. The other non standard option was the blue box, but that's a different discussion. ;)

Yes and some businesses had that lock on the rotary dial. Like that is going to stop someone from dialing out.

he, he ... Wozniak built 'em and Jobs sold 'em, as their first business venture.

Brings back memories of the various "underground" newsletters I used to get in the mail and contribute to. I was just a young pup (don't even think I was a teen yet) when I read one article written by Crunch outlining the significance and use of 2600hz. Later it was dial up BBS's that would let us "out of the box thinkers" share ideas back and forth. Wow how things have changed thinking back on it..

Remember when I was disappointed not being able to watch the charge rate on the C board screens and made the clear plastic fire button so the LED was visible?
I absolutely love Frank65's theme and I have been using them since early 2018. There is more stuff packed into this theme than any other one I know of. Anyway I was checking if Frank had any updates to his theme and he does. It now shows charging current in lock mode and it has a toggle to leave the screen on (more settings screen). And I thought of you with these 2 new features. Although I usually leave it on the battery screen when charging which shows cell voltages, current, USB voltage, etc.

Wow, I'll have to check that out, looks great! Thanks!

I pulled one of those led cob's from the flashlight, hooked it directly to an old phone charger and I'm letting it set running with the thermocouple on it monitoring the temperature and seeing if the led would just burn out. Been three hours now and the temp is actually a few deg lower then what it was running off the 3 AAA battery's in the flashlight, 168 F Guess I'll just leave it running for a day and see what happens, if it survives I'll wire up six of them on a power supply and see what I get. I guess it's not supposed to work like this but so far it is, time will tell.

Do you have an ampeter you can put in series? I wouldn't want that charger burning your house down......

Yes, it's the Fluke I used during my 25 years of twisting wrenches, older model but it works great and in good condition, I take care of my tools. I can read volts (ac & dc), amps, ohms, Hz, dwell, temps, RPM's and other readings I've forgotten about LoL. I've got this led running next to me on my desk so I can keep and eye on it, it's been running about 5 hours now stable, the temp hasn't changed, still around 168F, if it was going to let the magic smoke out it would have by now. The charger is the smallest amp 5V that I had, it was for an old Motorola flip cell phone, Input 110V .15Amp Out 5V 550mA. I have a box I throw all my old chargers and stuff like it in, never know when something might be handy or if I need a connector off of one.

Well I just ordered this led kit from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MHLIFO8 A three minuet search and I found this kit, comes with everything including the power supply. I looked at the customer's feedback pics and found this pic below posted there, perfect! OK, I'm done screwing around, problem solved for $15. :)
