A Lipo question for those who may know more that I do?
If I have one cell in a 3S pack that is at a higher voltage than the remaining 2, can I discharge the higher cell through the JST? With an LED?
If I were to connect an LED to the Ground Pin (black wire) & the Red Pin higher voltage cell, Could I discharge that one particular cell? Just enough so the pack will then charge evenly, on the dna board?

Sitting down, facing forward.
Given that a 3S is a series circuit, batteries end to end, unless it's the last cell in the string you'll discharge two or all three. This applies if you connect to the negative terminal of the pack.

If you can get across that single cell, though, it will discharge just that cell. That will take multiple connections to the JST, one for each end of the LED or load. This is how the balancing occurs during a charge cycle and how the individual cell voltages are measured by a board.

Iis there a way to balance this pack again?

So not as easy as just hooking an LED to the 2 Pins on the JST that are connected the higher voltage cell :(

Thanks for the Help Guys!

I have to say my Lido's aren't aging as gracefully as round cells Do!
Rather than discharge the high one(s) bring them all up to 4.2v

Here I'm connected to cell #3
There is nothing connected to the big plug, just looks like there is.

So is that just a round cell in the charger?
I was thinking lower the High cell cause it's way out of whack, when it's at 4.20 the remaining 2 are at 3.84 But I can try this if it will work? Cell 1 & 2 are Low & 3 is high

This guys video would suggest the isolation of the 3 cells is posable, just like you're saying?

That's a juice bottle in the charger.
While crude looking it works like a champ.

I rigged it up & it looks like it's working! Cell one is reading the right amount of charge & is charging on my round cell charger :)
Fingers crossed!
Thanks for the Tip BTW :)

I'm using a little plug that came off the Hana Lipo's :) I plugged a spare JST into the female end on the battery, giving me the male end to easily plug in to the Hana battery Plug end :)
I also used an old 14500 battery as my charger insert, I taped it up so all that contacts is the red & black Wire from the Hana Connector :)

It seems to be working smoothly now :) I'm going to charge all 3 cells like this to get them balanced perfect :)
Thanks Again :thumb:

Tonight I removed the 2 strand twisted 28 SS430 coil and replaced it with a single strand 28 SS430 in my Bantam. Still at 30 watts, much better.
There seems to be a fine line when wicking the Insider between max wattage and leaking, apparently mine were on the leaking side.
They didn't leak most of the time but then did, solved that this morning.
I also removed the little plates on both sides of my 2 SXK BB's to inspect for juice, found a tiny amount, I was expecting more.

So worked like a charm! Thanks @dwcraig1 :thumb:
This is a nice Lipo tool to have, I'v had this kind of unbalancing happing several times! Nice to know there's an easy fix :)
So just how do you suppose they got out of balance?
On the one I had a problem with it was because juice got between the balance connector and the board causing a very slow drain when sitting. I used no clean flux and a shot of computer duster (compressed gas) to get it out.
