Semi short story, Steamer.

Reports started surfacing regarding people with lung problems from vaping, therefor vaping is to blame and the MSM kept, and keeps, harping on the vaping component. Turns out that it is limited to "young" people who have vaped ... oil. Anyone with a grain of common sense realizes that vaping oil is not a good thing to do. Most, if not all, of the cases involve lipoid pneumonia, the lungs getting loaded with an oil which lungs are not designed to handle. It is unfortunate that this has happened, but it is kind of a perfect storm, the legalization of medicinal or recreational wacky weed and vaping coming together in the wrong form. Like Classy says, I use this ... oil on my back so I'll vape it and get my high from it too. After all, what could go wrong? Now, as a result, the demands by do-gooder politicians are demanding something be done about this crisis. Unfortunately, they don't understand what the root cause is and haven't got a clue what to do about it that might actually fix it. A cure for stupidity and ignorance can't be legislated or fixed with a government rule. (I can't believe the editing ECF is doing, they're about as helpful as the people demanding something be done)
I've been hearing of these cases since I started vaping back in 2014. It isn't anything new really. This was posted on Facebook back in June 2015 for example. This happens when people mix some oils with their e-juices.

How "tight' does that Convoy focus, Bill? The Vizeri would focus down to the point of being able to see the actual CREE elements at about 200 feet lighting an area about six by eight feet.
Yeah well the Vizeri are like impossible to find and they are very expensive. Then Mike mentioned a Gold Armour ones to Tibs much later after I ordered my Convey, so that one was too late for me. And I don't know what Tibs ended up getting.

I also have two Insignia IPX4 350 Lumen flashlights that uses 3 AAA batteries. They are ok and all, but nothing really special about them. But I do like the separate mode switch though.

I dunno, like 15 years ago I bought a 3 LED flashlight at the dollar store for a buck. It too uses 3 AAA and the only markings are on the cap that says made in China. I'm guessing is puts out like 25 lumens (it just has one mode). Its my smallest and lightest flashlight. I think I changed the batteries once in it.

Got some CCrane Spotlights too (they are not the newest model which now come in blue) I bought probably like 6 years ago. They use 3 C-cells and are only 155 lumen. Nothing really special about them either. They do have a nifty kickstand though which makes it easy to use them as work lights and has a rubbery finish. I never had to change the batteries in them yet. ;)

I have bought about a hundred of the Gold Armour ones (btw the exact same flashlight has several brandnames), started issuing them at the plant. Super bright, long throw, and zoom will show the rows in the single LED array. For $8 ea they cant be beat IMHO. Yes, you can get brighter, but not in the sub $29 pricepoint.

This is the same flashlight, just a different brandname.
I bought about a hundred of these too.

Do they sport some sort of low voltage warning mikepetro? And how is the threading on them?

On the Convoy C8, you can program a mode that tells you the voltage level by the number of flashes which is pretty nifty. And I do love the threading on them. They should last 10's of thousands of times I am sure.

The threading is quite decent, no issues.
No, no fancy voltage indicator.

I bought a "Boulder" to replace a Vizeri that failed, switch died which seems to be the weak point of the Vizeri. It's larger and the zoom is a push/pull which I'm not a big fan of. It does have an on-board charger but with the number of 18650s I have around, along with chargers, I don't even bother using it, but it could be handy in a pinch.

When I bought the Vizeris they were more expensive, about $30 each, but they are definitely high quality. I sure wish they'd get them back into production. Seem to be a good compromise between quality and price.

I have a flashlight fetish, but I am also a cheapskate about it. I have one in every room in the house, both cars, and both luggage carryons.

I keep it simple, the Boulder is in a holster on my belt all the time. I do have an old, 3 cell, Maglite on my nightstand though, and a Vizeri is mounted on a particular, strategic, piece of equipment. Then there's one we use when walking Leo at night plus more in the office and basement. Not so much a fetish, I just like having one handy when needed.

I too have a bunch of flashlights spread around the house and in the cars, majority of them are around 200 lumens, a couple three cell 800 and one fancy six AA cell 1000 that has digital zoom, full bright, dimmer and flashy.

On another note, anyone interested in trading what good movies they've watched recently? If you have a link to one great, if not just give the title. :)

Me being a night owl I'll search for movies on the fmovies websites and find one or two to watch. Sometimes I find one I haven't seen before, sometimes I'll find a good one I forgot about that was a real gem. Last night I watch a couple good ones, so here's my recommendations for today, willy gives them two thumbs up.

Cannery Row, Watch Cannery Row Online | Watch Full Cannery Row (1982) Online For Free God that's a great movie with Nick Nolte and Debra Winger, it will make you laugh and make you cry, but a lot more laughing. This one goes in the Save folder.
And
Pirate Radio, Watch Pirate Radio Online | Watch Full Pirate Radio (2009) Online For Free Funny movie, stumbled on this one, I've never seen it before, took a chance, glad I did! A documentary? Leads out that way but not sure and if it is I know it's not accurate in details but who cares, well done movie that I was so happy to find.

Reminder on these Fmovies websites, do a search for "fmovies" and there will be a long list of them, after a year one will close and four more new ones pop up. They are all spamy with popup's that will force you closing sometimes 2-4 pages then the movie will load. Some but not all the Fmovies sites have popup pages that are... not for kids... ffmovies.ru is one to stay clear of, ru... yeah. If I find one that's too spamy or doesn't have what I'm looking for I'll go to another, they are not all identical. UBlock works well once you clicked enough of the popup pages to be added to the blocked list, once you get past that it will reduce the popups to a minimum.

Again, if you use Torch browser (Chrome based) it has a built in media downloader and you can start the movie, click the download button and close that page if you wish. There will be a list of different servers to chose from, if one won't let a download pick another server, a few servers block download, a few will show it downloading but it's a tiny 2KB worthless file so keep an eye on the downloadin size, if it stops at 2KB pick another server. Torch Web Browser - Your All in One Internet Browser
Downloader button is in the upper right, when it flashes blue it's ready to download.

Fmovies are not just movies, they have just as many TV shows as well and they'll have brand new released movies that were cam recorded in the theater, I know, there's that ethical side to that part of it, I can take watching those lousy cam recorded movies anyways and there are plenty of older moves to choose from, I've found as far back as 1934. Sometimes I'll just scroll through movies or old TV shows I liked from the past and download a bunch in one setting, then I can scroll through what I have on the hard drives, save the real gems and delete the others if I doubt I'll watch them again. BTW, a lot of great oldies, full movies can be found right on youtube, I look there often too. I built up a big library of old classics, example, I now have all those great classic Christmas specials from my childhood in one Xmas marked folder. :)
