Nickle legs or wonky connections is my guess....leaning toward wonky connections if those are drop in ciols.

Ah... but it is solid as a rock as to the vape temperature (maybe no more than 50ms lag to temperature). Have you used NiCr before?

So whats the end game with the Window Medic & the registry Edits? Do you guys just want to stop the updates?

It is a lot like this... "'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do you, punk?"

Wont that leave you open to exploits & being hacked?

You mean to screw up Microsoft's and NSA's updated backdoor software that they worked so hard to create? ;)

I was under the impression they constantly updated to close hole, that could be exploited?

Just propaganda. Much like Apple's propaganda. Just use third party security software instead. ;)

If you are talking Nichrome well that was my wire of choice prior to temp wire. You won't see much if any change from cold to hot from that wire. It has a slight change but not the amount that you posted.

I have tried the "profile" listed over yonder for using Nichrome in temp control way back, it worked most of the time but had phony temp numbers. It was good to use as a way of getting boost via preheat(prior to boost feature)

I have chosen to use cheap crimp connectors for this job I'm not sure why really, just lazy I guess.I have everything to solder and heat shrink. It's only 4 joints.

Earlier today the toilet didn't want to flush right, then I seen it, a thin bar of Dove soap in the bottom. I got all over the wife for that as she admitted to putting it in there.

If your paranoid of Microsoft why don't you just use Linux or ubuntu?
Also I would just like a straight answer on why you would like to block Windows Updates?
I update my phones & mac all the time, why wouldn't I?

Over the years I have had only 3 - 5 instances where Windows Update screwed something up. These were video card drivers for laptop sound card drivers and nic card, just had to roll them back. I, for a while was staying away from Windows Update because I was using a pirated copy of Windows and it would let me know about it and make my desktop black after a while.

I am not paranoid, I just don't want them or need them. ;)

Same answer. :D

It is a well known fact that Apple purposely uses updates to slow down older devices with each update. They are hoping by year 2, you finally realize your device is really slow. And then you notice how fast the newer devices run. So you want one of those and buy them. Although your older device would run just fine if you could remove all of the updates. ;)

You see Bill you take one little incident and completely blow it out of proportion!
What make you an apple expert? How many mac's you got? How long you been running them?
I have a 2009, 2010, & 2011 mac's all run every inch as good as New!
We have been running iPhones since the 3! & never noticed any ill effects from any updates.
Maybe you should stick to the Facts you know for sure to be true! Not B.S & hear say!

It's just not me saying it, just Google it and look on Youtube for examples in action. And peek into the Mac Rumors forum. ;)

Here is the last one I watched on the subject. Error 53. Update your phone and it will never work again. EVER! :(

My goal is to stop them from doing it automatically, which often crashes my Home Automation system. Yes, you do (or at least I do) want to keep more/less up to date. However I want to control when it happens, so that it wont happen at an inconvenient time and so that I can have disaster recovery precautions in place.

What happens now is I wake up and my house isnt working (more importantly the espresso machine isnt on and hot), go check the server and find that an Update at 2am crashed it. For example, it has tried to install v1909 about 8 times so far, and each time it crashes and has to roll back, which requires manual intervention on my part.

I dont like it when my house stops working because MS took over MY own damn computer.

Well my lights work as desired. When I first start the car the parking light stay on for a little bit. That's the circuit that I used to trigger the rely, at first I thought my DLRs didn't work but then after the parking circuit shut off they came on. I was puzzled for a few moments.
