Have to agree, should be listed. The batteries still dont have a warning on them.

Nothing has a warning on it. All packages, even the one''s that will pass through, are going to be delayed by several days...there should be a sticky on the header of every page letting people know this.

Seeings as the HKP alert was issued/dated on the 10th, I don't think anyone including fasttech knew this was coming.

Well, I ordered my MVP 2 on the 10th...they shipped it on the 11th...didnt stop Fasttech at all...now it sits...hopefully, it will be seen a just a device and will pass through...honestly, I just wish I could get a refund now and go elsewhere...this sucks...

It should. Its not primarily batteries or liquids.

You can bet your .... that the fur is flying between the bureaucrats causing this and everyone else trying to make a living and there will be a resolution PDQ.

I have 54 items in my cart :(

I'm not in a crazy rush for any of them so I might just split them into a few different orders and see what if any gets through. Its at least 1/2 eliquid by item number but a lot less by volume. Maybe I'll wait a few days and see what ppl are saying gets returned & what gets through. I'm not sure I have the impulse control for that though. Worst case scenario it gets sent back and I have to wait to reorder. I am 100% confident that FT will refund me.

Option B is to empty my cart on fasttech and pull the trigger on this (non vaping related) badboy but that is also shipping-delayed.

C'mon already China, I need my cheap stuff. You could walk it over the border to me here.

yup, sucks. But they know batteries and liquid have a very low chance of making it and should have something on there site showing this. Feel like that would be easier then selling and waiting to get the items back to refund the pissy customers

Gah this is so lame! I placed an order on the 3rd of September and all say acceptance in hong kong. I was expecting at least a two week wait but now who knows if I'll even get my darn order. It had a vamo v2 starter kit with batteries, charger, and vamo unit, a carrying case, and 3 protanks. Sigh I'm totally bummed now. If they do return it I hope the refund goes back on my card and not to my paypal account as I don't know where else I would be ordering from and if they would accept paypal! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they let it through so I can enjoy what I paid for instead of having to hunt around ebay to find a replacement!!! :( Here's what HongKong Post tracking website says...

Destination - United States of America
The item (**************) is being processed for departure from Hong Kong as of 10-Sep-2013.

To make further enquiry of this item, please complete the Online Enquiry Form or send the item number; the details of sender; addressee and contact information by fax to Mail Tracing Office. Our fax no. is (852) 2868 4723. You can also email or call our Mail Tracing Office at (852) 2921 2211 during office hours.Online tracking information on the delivery status of registered mail/parcels sent overseas is available for selective destinations. You can connect to the mail tracking website of the destinations below directly. For destinations not on the list, tracking information is only available up to departure from Hong Kong.

anyone else notice a difference between usps.com tracking and HK post tracking.

usps:" Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" as of 9/7
hkps:" being processed for departure from Hong Kong as of 9-Sep-2013."

Hongkong Post - Mail Tracking

I'm guessing/presuming from the factory, its HKPS (Hong Kong Post Service) shipping/delivered to Hong Kong customs at the airport, and then transferred to USPS (US Postal Service) at the airport in Hong Kong and then air transported to the US /San Francisco.....and that's why 2 different Posts and shippers there, and a lil difference in terminology of a HOLD status basically at the customs staging cargo terminal at the airport..

also I have a lil confusion regarding this :

Hongkong Post does not accept the sending of air mail items (including Speedpost) that contain dangerous articles such as perfumery products, lighters and lithium batteries.

Source: Hongkong Post - Notices - Delay In Outbound Air Mail Services

The postal union has launched a wave of scrutiny yesterday which covers all major postal airmail shippers in Asia.

FastTech confirms that all battery/e-liquid airmail packages are being affected at this time. This includes HKP/USPS, and Singapore Post.

2. Packages *not* containing e-liquids/batteries will ship normally via SG post at regular speed. However those shipped via HK post will get delayed by 5 to 7 days (as we're told) as they queue up for the new mandatory x-ray scans.

If you have previously requested us to put you on Hong Kong Post only list, you may want to consider getting off that list to avoid the added wait time at Hong Kong Post
.

WTH is SG Post?..is it Speed Global or Singapore Post?..I'm thinking SG Post is Singapore Post which is not even listed on the shipping options at Fasttech site and neither is Hong Kong Post which includes Speed Global as being affected in the initial first post here inthis thread and release confirmation from Fastech, as being affected...and how could somebody get off the Hong Kong Post list, if its not ever even mentioned on their shipping options?..Fasttech needs to be more clear on all of these shippers and the options available to the customers....Do U see Hong Kong Post, or Singapore Post below as an option?...I sure don't..

Regular Air Mail - FREE (up to 30 business days in transit)
USPS First-Class FREE (5 to 8 days in transit typical) - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Speedpost Global Express +$24.00 (4 to 9 days in transit)
Registered Airmail via Singapore Post +$1.00 (10 to 14 days in transit typical)
DHL Express +$60.00 (visit DHL for transit time)

BTW...I today contacted Paypal and filed a dispute for resolution asking for my credit card to be credited back for my transaction and order placed on Aug 31 that still sits in Hong Kong at fastech for all I know and stil has NOT shipped nor probably ever will be..and I copied the FastTech confirmation of shipping problems and how my USPS says its NOT shipped and " Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" ...I'm not taking any chances and want my money back soon as possible and not waiting another month to pull the trigger and possibly do battle with Paypal or Fasttech later....U can do the same with your credit card company, if U wish...no sense in hoping it gets through and wasting another month to possibly find out it didn't or Fastech didn't refund you as they said they would, because they will be bombarded with refunds that will take them another month or 2 to process..U will be looking at Xmas before U get a refund, if they don't ship this by boat instead, which they NEVER mentioned at all, which would be the best and fastest solution all around in my opinion, rather than all this waiting for customs and air shipment or refunds to every customer..

I have a similar feeling... it's a tough call on this stuff given the Chinese business culture.

On one hand this could just be a temporary knee jerk reaction from some bureaucrat due to an incident or a potential new security threat. Then this goes away quickly due to the mountains for shipments piling up and local businesses raising a stink... High probability that I think FT is banking on. But I think they are playing a dangerous gamble on losing business if this doesn't get resolved quickly.

On the other hand it's poor business to keep accepting, packaging and shipping orders that most likely will get rejected. That will cost FT a ton in extra handling and labor cost... plus refunds... quickly followed by loss of customers as the word gets around.

I have an order "stuck" in Hong Kong post... luckily no batteries or juice. Thankfully nothing I need quickly. I don't buy juice from them but have bought their starter kits as gifts for others who I'm trying to lure into this vaping realm... ;)

We'll see how this plays out...

I honestly think that we should stay calm and patient to see how this situation develops. The people at FT are keeping us informed via stickies in the Feedback forum.

So far none of us here or over there in the FT forum has reported a parcel being rejected and sent back to FT.

My stuff always goes through Singapore, and 2 recent packages, with ego batteries in one and liquid (and other things) have just been updated to "Dispatched to xxx country"

I'm not trying to minimize the annoyance that everybody, from our suppliers and vendors to customers all over the world, must be feeling right now. Just saying that "wait and see" might be our best option for the moment.

I will wait and see what happens. They are a good company, just the customs thing, not their fault, BUT I would have liked to know, then I would have placed 2 orders, one with the eGo kit, and one with the other stuff (no liquid or batteries). I have ordered stuff in the US to carry me over for a few weeks, just to make sure.

I really don't believe the Chinese Government cares 1 thing about the civilian population or their companies...never have and never will..since 1997 they are under China's rule once again, not a British colony anymore...I honestly don't believe the Government is going to change their rules because of some workers or Fasttech or any other companies...I believe this will be a long drawn out process, and the Gov there surely doesn't care about foreigners like the USA , Canada , or the rest of Asians or European customers of a company..but we're all 2nd guessing at this point and just have to ride it out and see what happens, but I myself took no chances and have already disputed my purchase for lack of shipment from Hong Kong China....something obviously triggered this customs and shipping interference now, and I believe we don't really know the whole story which is probably political or a vendetta which we know nothing about..
