anyone else notice a difference between usps.com tracking and HK post tracking.
usps:" Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" as of 9/7
hkps:" being processed for departure from Hong Kong as of 9-Sep-2013."
Hongkong Post - Mail Tracking
I'm guessing/presuming from the factory, its HKPS (Hong Kong Post Service) shipping/delivered to Hong Kong customs at the airport, and then transferred to USPS (US Postal Service) at the airport in Hong Kong and then air transported to the US /San Francisco.....and that's why 2 different Posts and shippers there, and a lil difference in terminology of a HOLD status basically at the customs staging cargo terminal at the airport..
also I have a lil confusion regarding this :
Hongkong Post does not accept the sending of air mail items (including Speedpost) that contain dangerous articles such as perfumery products, lighters and lithium batteries.
Source: Hongkong Post - Notices - Delay In Outbound Air Mail Services
The postal union has launched a wave of scrutiny yesterday which covers all major postal airmail shippers in Asia.
FastTech confirms that all battery/e-liquid airmail packages are being affected at this time. This includes HKP/USPS, and Singapore Post.
2. Packages *not* containing e-liquids/batteries will ship normally via SG post at regular speed. However those shipped via HK post will get delayed by 5 to 7 days (as we're told) as they queue up for the new mandatory x-ray scans.
If you have previously requested us to put you on Hong Kong Post only list, you may want to consider getting off that list to avoid the added wait time at Hong Kong Post.
WTH is SG Post?..is it Speed Global or Singapore Post?..I'm thinking SG Post is Singapore Post which is not even listed on the shipping options at Fasttech site and neither is Hong Kong Post which includes Speed Global as being affected in the initial first post here inthis thread and release confirmation from Fastech, as being affected...and how could somebody get off the Hong Kong Post list, if its not ever even mentioned on their shipping options?..Fasttech needs to be more clear on all of these shippers and the options available to the customers....Do U see Hong Kong Post, or Singapore Post below as an option?...I sure don't..
Regular Air Mail - FREE (up to 30 business days in transit)
USPS First-Class FREE (5 to 8 days in transit typical) - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Speedpost Global Express +$24.00 (4 to 9 days in transit)
Registered Airmail via Singapore Post +$1.00 (10 to 14 days in transit typical)
DHL Express +$60.00 (visit DHL for transit time)
BTW...I today contacted Paypal and filed a dispute for resolution asking for my credit card to be credited back for my transaction and order placed on Aug 31 that still sits in Hong Kong at fastech for all I know and stil has NOT shipped nor probably ever will be..and I copied the FastTech confirmation of shipping problems and how my USPS says its NOT shipped and " Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" ...I'm not taking any chances and want my money back soon as possible and not waiting another month to pull the trigger and possibly do battle with Paypal or Fasttech later....U can do the same with your credit card company, if U wish...no sense in hoping it gets through and wasting another month to possibly find out it didn't or Fastech didn't refund you as they said they would, because they will be bombarded with refunds that will take them another month or 2 to process..U will be looking at Xmas before U get a refund, if they don't ship this by boat instead, which they NEVER mentioned at all, which would be the best and fastest solution all around in my opinion, rather than all this waiting for customs and air shipment or refunds to every customer..
