Extraction - my experience, my conclusion

After trying various ways of extraction few weeks back, now after liquids settled, time for conclusion.
I used chopped Cohiba Esplendido with various combinations of PG,VG, water. Water, VG and mixes of both gave me liquid strong in colour, weak in flavour, that did not change after few weeks, so disposed all of those, wont bother to ever use VG, water again. However the PG extract was good, possibly got even better. It is as close to tobacco as it gets.
Last weekend after 10 months of only vaping bought some 100% tobacco Dominican cigarillos ( suddenly felt like smoking some) so could make 101 comparison. It was interesting to smoke, I definitely prefer vaping but apart from not so pleasant content (due to burning) there was "something" I never found in any liquid, something I really liked. So got the idea to vape some of my tobacco extract to compare and "yes" that mysterious "something" is there.
I will be definitely doing some more of PG extractions. Already ordered some tobacco plants from a farm, to grow on my balcony and hopefully will get some leaves from Cuba. Till then might chop another cigar, the extract is good on its own (I only added some VG for more vapour) but I will be using it mixed with some nicotine base and also Flavourart products.
The procedure was simple - chopped the cigar, soaked in PG for 2 days, filtered and left alone for few weeks.

Did you just put your 2 day extraction in a coffee filter and collect it that way? I have some Acid cigars that are very sweet and dipped. I would love to try extracting this and think it would be a great vape flavor but I really want to get all of the flavors as I can. Im not worried about the nic as much as I am about the flavor.

There are so many unpredictable factors, how much of flavour, nicotine (if there is any at all?) got extracted that I dont see any other way then just experimenting.
BTW. I use extract only with old type 510 since I dont want to mess up my atomisers in eGoT (use all of them A,B,C) and 510T, dont vape the extract often, just when I feel like. My regular vape are Flavourart based Virginia (with some Oak and Bitter), Maxx @ 18mg, occasionally - Citrus Mix (own mix of all F` art citrus fruits) 0mg, Dekangs - 555,TAB, Hilton and my Cohiba extract.

my tobacco plants growing ( not sure if they will survive till harvest) chopped 2 inches from another Cohiba and this time just left it in PG for a week ( unlike first time no heating it up at all). Today filtered it and tried- very nice result, not much different to heating procedure. Definitely tobacco taste, might mix it with some nic base, but it is fine as it is.

Hi electrotimba! I've been experimenting myself. With some Kentucky organic select tobacco.I left it in PG for 10 days and then steeped for a week or so. Very nice color and def pure tobacco flavor, but very delicate. I added some VG to reach 70PG/20VG and some Vapingzone tobacco flavor concentrate ( Honey cured tobacco). The result is great- very delicate and mellow slightly sweet tobacco e-juice. Probably will be one of my favorites. Have no idea what is the nicotine content in my juice, but added some nicotine to make it about 12mg on the top of what I already had in the extracted PG.. haven't experienced any nic issues.Thank you for giving that idea!
