This weekend we were at an out of town softball tournament for our daughters. As we were sitting around by the pool, I looked around at the moms and 5 out of 6 of the mom's was vaping. Only one was still smoking cigarettes. The rest have converted to some type of e-cig. It was funny because every one had their own type that worked. I had my Kanger Aerotanks, one was smoking blu, one does cartomizers and the other two have basic bottom coil clearomizers like Kanger T3S. I can take credit for converting 3 of them. It was a great feeling. Although they all agree that I have taken it to the next level with my portable carrying kit and juice selection. :p Now if we can just get a vape store in our town for those emergency coil, juice and battery purchases.

Anyways, had to share because it really was a good feeling that we were all making a healthier choice sitting there.

It's a great feeling to convert someone, isn't it? I've managed to get my husband and sister vaping full time. My mother in law tried it for a bit, but then went back to smoking after all the news stories about vaping being dangerous and the liquid being poisonous. We've tried to explain to her the difference between what we're vaping and the undiluted liquid nicotine that all the news stories are talking about and exaggerating, but I doubt it'll work. She seems to WANT to believe the media over us on this. It gives her an excuse to continue smoking, and I know she felt uncomfortable with e-cigarettes. It's a pity, as she's loosing her eyesight and the smoke from cigarettes are speeding the process up. We had my father in law on our side on this for a bit, but between the media and my mother in law telling him that hubby and I are wrong about vaping being less harmful then cigarettes he just caved.

Sometimes it takes longer for someone to feel comfortable with it and get used to the idea, so don't give up hope! Maybe a year or two from now she will surprise you :)

I had a similar issue with my sister, who for a long time was convinced that there was "no point" in switching to vaping when she could just quit. Well of course she never stayed quit, and this last time my mother found out that even though she "quit," she was still smoking when she was drinking or around friends. My mom finally convinced her to just use an e-cigarette in those situations to avoid smoking all together. Now my sister says she wants to expand her collection :)

Yeah, my part of PA there are too many quality B&M's yet either. One opened up 20 miles away that is decent. All the other quality ones are an hour+ away.

At least you have friends that vape.... or friends for that matter lol. My girlfriend doesn't smoke so I can't talk to her about vape stuff. But either way that's awesome and hopefully they stick with it.

My husband doesn't smoke or vape, but I blather to him incessantly about vape this and mod that. :D He may be the most vape-knowledgeable non-vaper around. A guy at his work vapes, and was telling my husband that for some reason (!) his vape started tasting bad, kinda burnt. My husband informed him that he either needed a new coil, or he needed to dry-burn and re-flavor-wick it. :D I felt like patting him on the head, he's actually been listening to me! :thumb:

It's a good feeling I have 5 converts now, all showing improvement a couple have kicked the cigs all together.
I feel like a missionary sometimes.
Maybe we should get some official ECF pamphlets witness style.
"Have you seen the light? Vaping is your savior."

*lol* I can see it now...waking folks up early Saturday mornings, and invading "smoking oasis'" with Tracts..."let me tell you about my personal vaping experience" *lol*

Same as Ed, we have set up quite a few friends and family I gladly gave up a couple set ups and my Nemesis/Russian Mod to my future son in law and daughter, I've come to terms with that I probably will never see it again unless that big kid's vaping on it "hey Moms wanna try yours?" *LOL* they're just week behind us and still Vaping! and that's some good stuff right here...I hated that one of my kids smoked (the stats are just about right about that one did one didn't)
