Wow......I'm envious of you! Mine was ordered on the 18th and isn't scheduled to ship until 9/3! Oh well....it gets closer to being here every day. Let us know your thoughts when you get it.

The FT Ithaka clone (Tobeco) is spot on, a really close match to the real one. It's highly polished. Also note that every single part on Ithaka, Hercules and the FT Ithaka clone (Tobeco) will interchange. The FT clone comes prebuilt with wick and wire and although much cleaner than Hercules when you get it I suggest a good cleaning of all parts especially the inside of the mouthpiece, an unbelievable amount of crud was in mine probably from buffing. I have two Ithaka's, one Hercules and one FT Ithaka clone otherwise I would buy more of the one's from Fasttech.
I've had mine for a month now with no problems of any kind. What a buy

Kind of disappointed that the Magoo appears to be plated, I'll forgo getting the Tobeco version of the Ithaka as I've just ordered their version of the UFS.
All the (non-English) reviews of the Tobeco UFS point to it being a perfect clone and at $45, I can hardly complain;

This is an extremely comprehensive and properly subtitled review, definitely sold it for me.

@ DirkBongo, is there any US vendor that you know of for this?

Can someone tell me how is the airflow of this tank? If possible I would like to know if it feels like using a protank? vivi nova? stardust ce4?
I had very bad experience with my RDAs, they are way too much freaking airy and I hate it. I know that this clone comes with air and liquid control but I dont know on which level it can be controled.

A friend suggested me to buy a KayFun but that thing is EXPANSIVE. I would like to start with something nice and cheaper.

To bad some people have to be so defensive about where their new toy came from.

I received my FT Ithaka clone. Looks Great, with the exception of the o-rings all staying in plain view. Originals seams hug up better.
Also a shame I received my Hercules clone a few days before the FT version.

Having had time to play with each and compare / rebuild / compare again, I can definitely tell the difference.
Built as Twins, with the FT rebuilt 2 times, they do not perform the same.

Hercules worked perfect out of the gate.
All parts hit Perfectly together.
All tolerances are very close with no slop.
Zero issues with false start cross threading.
No dry hits - No leaks > even with flow open 3/8"
No flooding if left with control open for hours with a full tank

FT Version:
1) Cannot place capture ring over wicks and screw down - Repeated attempts(30-40) Failed
Must thread up from bottom, but will easily screw off top, just will not start from top.(so, work around useable)
2) Stack to wick section(Flow Control) Horrible loose tolerance. How horrible? Mouthpiece can be threaded fully down without bind and be cross threaded.(yep, did it a few times)
1/4 turn from sealed yields an extremely wobbly mouthpiece.(hidden with tip cap in place)
Replacing with the Hercules mouthpiece yields a snug fit with no binding. Much closer tolerance.
3) Opening mouthpiece even slightly causes flooding within minutes. <Remember - identical builds>

I have no issue with Who builds the piece, but rather the time and machining accuracy to build it properly.
i.e. Many will get perfectly good units but many may have similar or different issues due to lax manufacturing policies.

As to the Who of manufacture - this argument can go on and on. For myself, I am of no doubt mine is From Tobeco and sold by Fasttech. The reason for my decision is simple, Research .
While others argue single points for reference, I go out and look for verifications and discrepancies.

This Review was my final stop and satisfied me that my information is reasonable to assume Tobeco is correctly identified.
Tobeco Ithaka Clone
This unit is an exact duplicate of the one I received from Fasttech and am currently testing.

$35.22 Ithaka Adjustable Rebuildable Atomizer (4.0mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

does anyone have one of of these ? i have one on order but cant seem to find any info on who makes it.

Tobeco makes this. I have one. I also have an Ithaka now as a result of buying this one. I wanted to see for myself if I would like the build, before getting the Ithaka and Just GG, so I did try this clone. It's not great, but it was good enough to get me to the next level, if that makes any sense. After getting the real gear, as a result of trying the clone, I have no more need to buy another mechanical, and like my Ithaka as well as my Kayfun and RSST, though they are all different. My top three favorites. My two cents. Btw, this question has come up before on the site, and was debated at length, leading me to believe that Tobeco is the maker. My two cents.

Well it seems I also won the lottery with this one. I do not quite understand issue #1 (what is the capture ring??) but I do have exactly the same problem as in 2 & 3.

To be honest I had not even have the chance to try it yet since my center pin was broken so I am waiting for a replacement but I checked the threading of the "autofeed part" with the rebuild able part (the housing of the ceramic) and the mouthpiece and they are loose!

I was wondering whether the housing was the problem being thinner that the other two parts but from what you write about replacing the mouthpiece with the Hercules one it seems that the two other parts are the problem.

In conclusion, from the beginning of December it's been two months and I still haven't managed to use it and honestly I won't be bothered with returning it and waiting for two more months. I simply find it more entertaining to destroy it as a spectacle in youtube! Smash it with a big bad hammer or cut in sections with a power tool to check the metal composition.

On the contrary a KFL I received from there was pretty good for the money although I am going to buy 1-2 real ones since I still had to worry about screws and o-rings (bought the originals) but at least it is working properly. But this is purely luck since I read about others with issues.

I am going to get the Hercules to try since I just want to check the damn thing and if it suits my needs.

I have both Hercules and Ithaka engraved from FT and they are both chrome plated to me, I have 4 original Ithakas and nothing compares to them. Also the draw is much looser which is great.

You mean the center pin not everything I guess. As for the pin on the fasttech clone I can confirm it is not SS since mine is broken and it is clearly not SS as seen by its section.
