Hate to bust your bubble, but Kanger has had a ton of bad tank issues in the past year.

Got to love all the Expert opinions of amateur vapers from 1/2 way around the world.

Oh, and that Guy at Sun Vapers - Not impressed! He claims to design the Products and/or have direct input....then was shocked when his order was not as he had been bragging about. Oh My.......Shock and Aww

Note: My experience - Direct buying from Kanger over the past 14 months - Your pictures simply show pieces from 2 different manufacturing dates and possibly two different machines.

On the other hand I ordered something from a US Vendor and recieved the FT clone at triple the price. I don't mind FT I just don't order anything I want now and Some things I will pay more for. I also have the itaste vv 3.0 I ordered it from a US vendor for about $7 more than from FT.

For some things, the clones may be fine. What I hated is that at the time I ordered, I was being told it was authentic and it wasn't. 20 dollars of tank broke on its own. I was not knocking them around or abusing them anyway. Ironically, the Mini Protank 2 I bought from Sun-Vapers was just over a buck more than the Mini Protank I knock off available at FT.

Even now, they use deceptive descriptions like "authentic" to describe the product and put them in boxes that make the consumer believe that they were actual manufactured by the manufacturer when they were not.

Even though it's not in the picture, I bet good money that the itaste vv3 they sell has Innokin's name all over it....

Others can order from fasttech if they choose, but they've received my last dollar, I can tell you that. I almost gave up on Kanger products because of their deception. I'm glad I found out the truth.

You could get new glass for them for about $3 each by the way.

Different strokes for different folks. Most people would not know what vv/vw is or what it could do for them without places like FT selling Vamos for $25. A lot of vapors got started or upgraded with FT's $10 ego kits vs. $50 convenience store's cig-alikes. So?

The Innokin products were genuine. Almost every Kanger group buy I've seen have ended up with something they weren't expecting. That's direct from Kanger. There's a version 1.1. 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.7 etc. all called Protank 2. Chinese manufacturing is not the same as it is in the US.

FT is far from perfect but they have evolved from the average foreign website into something that gives US retailers a run for their money. I think US retailers have improved because of FT's competition. The vaping industry is growing so fast that there's room for everyone. Most US retailers can't keep in stock with a popular product as it is.

What's ironic is when I post about a Provari, I'm hit with comments about how many cheap mods I could have bought for the same price. Then post about a FT mod and people come out to say buy US only tripe. I buy both. If I have to have it now or must have a specific brand, I'll find a US retailer. Otherwise FT provides me with a vaping world cheap enough that I can explore more.

Unfortunately, it is a Mini Protank 1 which does not have replaceable glass. So once the glass breaks, it's done. More reason to go to the mini-protank 2.

Thanks for all your input. Perhaps I did get an original one and it's a design issue which could explain why the Mini Protank had such a short production run.

In any case, I'm moving to the Mini Protank 2's so if/when my glass goes again, I can cheaply replace the glass.

I'm sorry about some peoples experience with Sun-Vapers. They've been nothing but helpful to me, and they have extremely fast shipping. Different strokes for different folks.

LOLLL I remember when the first Kanger Pro Tank Version 1 was released and they/ Sun Vapers was selling it for $27.00

KNOW what you're buying.
3 diff ProTanks at FastTech...
1/ ProTank- clone
2/ Genuine Pro Tank- Version 1 genuine Kanger which had issues
3/ Kanger ProTank- genuine Kanger version 2 which resolved the version 1 issues
You obviously bought the Version 1 Kanger Pro Tank and now you know why it was discontinued.

Over 50 orders from FT and all were exactly as expected and the savings were immense.
Surprise, surprise...everyone sells knockoffs and reject versions. It's just a matter of doing some basic research before pulling the trigger.

That's why I use local vendors. If I have it in my hand before I "pull the trigger", and it's a "knockoff" ........... shame on me!

I just do it to save $$ and have no Vendor, Country or Manufacturer loyalty- only loyalty is to my bankbook :D
An example- recently bought $4000.00+ in car parts from the U.S. To buy them here in Canada I would've received low quality generic parts and paid about $10,000.00. Buying from a Supplier in the U.S. I received a deep, deep discount and, more importantly, premium quality parts. Usually a cheapskate but when it comes to my cars I always get the best.

All I can do is go by my experience which is this.

3 Knock off Mini Protank I's from Fasttech. One has yet to arrive, 2 dead within 3 weeks. If/When the third one finally arrives, I'm taking out the heads and ditching the tank. I can't trust it...It can break at anytime and there goes 1.5 ml e-juice. Total $$$ Wasted 33.00.

2 Genuine Mini Protank I's from Sun-Vapers. Both going strong.

1 Genuine Mini Protank 2 from Sun-Vapers. Still going strong, and easier to maintain.

If the 2 Mini Protank I's from Sun-Vapers fail, I'll replace them with Mini Protank II's moving forward.

If you like Fasttech, good for you. For me, the prices and free shipping aren't worth the quality issues and slow shipping...

And I'd never buy anything from Fasttech if it needed to be plugged in.

And now for my soap box....I am actually stunned at the laissez-faire attitude of some of the people here in buying counterfeits and knock-offs. We push and push for more and innovation and better and higher quality e-cig products. Then when the manufacturer's produce these products, we flip them off and buy the counterfeit item just to save a couple bucks.

Let me say, that the ONLY reason I even bought these products were because they were listed as "authentic". I intentionally stayed away from their Evod's because they DIDN'T say authentic. Had I known they were counterfeit, I wouldn't have bought them. If they weren't Kangertech products, they should not have been packaged in their box, with their packing materials and with their name on them.

Some of you claim that they were real. I have no proof but my eyeballs and experience. The genuine ones I'm using now including the Mini Protank I's never had any issues. None of them cracked on my nightstand overnight. None of them developed stress fractures during normal use.

Do what you want to do. But in my opinion, we should be supporting the manufacturers that are providing us with better innovation and higher quality, not undercutting their sales by buying cheap knock-offs and counterfeit items.

Bottom line....You get what you pay for...

First, none of your attachments are working for me.

Second, no where in that listing does it say it's an actual Kanger product, like you surmise. You can tell by looking at the listing that it's a knockoff.

I don't mind using clones every now and then, but I can see how saying it's an "authentic pro tank" can be misleading to some. I'm sure that's what the seller had in mind.

I agree. That is very misleading advertising, and price for the knockoff is only $2-3 less than the real thing. Add the long, long wait to the misleading advertising and the price, not worth it in this case.

Out of the blue, Fasttech just sent a paypal refund for the third unit that appears to have gotten "lost" by swiss post.

This was without my urging, so I can say one thing about them. They do care about their customers. That is something.

With my past experience, Fasttech would only become a supplier of last resort. But with so many options currently out there, my chapter on Fasttech is officially closed.

I am not blaming them on slow shipping. However shipping time does play a factor on how I choose a vendor.

Some things are in their control, some things are not.

Shipping may not be within their control, but I don't expect to have to spend 4 days of back and forth to get an RMA processed.
I don't expect to buy "authentic" products and then find evidence that they may not be as authentic as they claim.
I don't expect to have two items fail in less than three weeks.

There are other competitive vendors out there where I don't question the authenticity of the product, get a response within hours not days, and provide fast and inexpensive shipping.
