Hey all - hope everyone is ok and see you have moved to a new home (although its probably not that new as i havent been on here for ages :p )

I've spent almost nothing on hardware since not coming on here so often (thats not the reason im not here much though, working too hard and out or reading after work so no time to get on the computer - either that or too much back ache to sit still for long).

All i've bought since my pipe are cartos. I have 5 tanks for them and the kayfun i bought ages ago, plus the sophia i use in the cartotanks, other than that i've stopped buying everything and stopped looking as it all gets too tempting!

Liquid-wise i've mainly been getting juices from Vapists and the caramel cream / cinnamon cookies from the organic range at house of liquid, although i did have a bit of a spree on some US juices i've never tried a couple of weeks back and spent £150 on mainly dessert style flavours. I'll pop back on and let you know how they are if i have any to recommend - a couple of them smell absolutely amazing though. Delivery was about £14 ($22) fedex and i ordered on a Thursday afternoon - arrived on Tuesday so i was well impressed with that.

Anyway, thats me out for now. Dont spend too much! :)

There's a nice university there ...my friend was presented with her doctorate there (she's a professor of hermeneutics!).

Had to Google that

And a Brewery.

Ummm yes InBev which produces Stella and has taken over a lot of small breweries and dominates the market these days.
Domus is the only other one left in Leuven, a lot of Belgian towns have their own Breweries, Palm from Steenhuffel is my favourite anytime drink with the Dubbel Palm at Christmas, but Chimay Blue is my Special Treat favourite (can't drink too many though @ 9°). De Konicks is Antwerp brewed another nice one.
That reminds me must get round to opening my litre bottle of Leffe Royale, that my mate gave me.

Wise man, Cody, spending a lot of time in here starts eating into your wallet  I'm having back problems as well, but I think that's down to me not getting out much these days because of health problems.

A friend and i did a tour of some Belgium breweries about 10 years ago. There are a few monasteries that brew a lot nicer beer than is commercially available.
I went to one outside Antwerp that even produced a cheese made from the beer.Other than this i don't remember a great deal about the holiday

Sounds like Westmalle, The railway association I belong to has an English section but they and I parted company because of the antics of some of the committee of which I was part of and I joined the Belgian section as I had so many friends over there, so i have spent a lot of time in Antwerpen (Anvers) & Brussels (Bruxelles) and as you can probably tell I spend most of the time with Flemish speakers rather than French (spit)

I have a Flemish speaking Belgian friend, from when i used to mess around with cars.
They don't think much of those French speakers do they:unsure:

Westmalle rings a bell Bob.
When we got up every morning, we both swore to take it easy that day, never happened.

It's probably got something to do with the Fr speakers not wanting to speak any other language, and historically they were the Upper Class whereas the Fl speakers will converse in any language they can and nowadays are in a much better situation than the Fr speakers

I can understand that, used to do it myself when I used to go over there when I was younger, get so drunk I used to fall asleep, then wake up and start again, can't drink as much these days and don't really want to half the time, but I do prefer their beers to ours although not really a Stella fan.

...just as I did way back when we first met her! :?: - not a subject for the masses! :)

...oh, of course!

Hi Cody - Hope you're enjoying the pipe! Be interesting to hear which brand you got and how they are!

Been trying a few more US ones lately from Cloudhouse in France: Gremlin, Coval, Indigo, SNG etc.

I was a bit bemused by the Parisians - if you only tried to speak in French, they'd help you a lot - but make no effort and they weren't pleased.
The Spanish in Madrid are a bit that way too - not many English speakers when we were there.

In Paris, we were so fascinated with the city, we only slept a few hours each night :)
