Evening all :)

I think I've more or less caught up now with the reading, you lot been waffling again

Bob, glad to hear you've got at least some of your PC stuff working. Hope the OP goes ok mate :)

Glad to see that everyone else is getting plenty of vapemail, nothing much arriving this end apart from the Goblin that you already know about. Things have settled down now at work, been a bloody awful week last week - but you don't want to hear about me moaning, Terry does enough of that
Set up the Goblin with just a single coil (the way some of you are doing with the Orchid). I was planning on running duals in it, but after 3 different coils popping on me, stuck with the single instead. I've set it up with twisted wire, every time I was doing the usual pulsing and squeezing either one coil or the other would pop. So had enough after 3 tries and left it at a single coil. Have to say, I'm impressed with it so far - it's actually better than the Lemo with the airflow it's got. So far so good :)

Had a Lemo leak in my shirt pocket on Friday, I think it's because I ran the juice level down too far and it leaked a bit. Nice brown stain on my light blue shirt pocket, not a good look

Anyway, hope everyone's ok. I'm off to try some rabbit stew now, that the Wife made earlier. If she hasn't poisoned me, I'll be back on later

Oh! I'm still here, just not as i usually am, managed to get the main programs working on the Laptop, what a s*** Operating System Win 8 is, ended up having to install Classic Shell just so that I could find where my StartUp Folder was, so that I could get some of the programs to Autostart when I log on.
Oh don't Bob! ...I'm liking the sound of 8 less and less - not sure 10 is going to be that much different ..likely a few tweaks to appease those preferring W7, and maybe a few wrinkles ironed out.
I suppose it'll be 10 by the time I need to renew mine, probably next year.
Still, glad you got it running more or less as you want. Will you fix the desktop?

Lucky sod  I will check again later. Should have arrived a day before yours in theory george ! But thinking about it, if they were put on the same flight, mine would have been put on the plane 1st, so it will be last off. Clutching at straws or what ?
Ha-ha! cute logic

Win 8? I only just put Win 7 on.:) had Vista on since it came out, think 7 should last another couple of hardware rebuilds.
Hopefully - but I asked about getting another copy of 7 for when I get a new computer, and they advised against because MS will stop supporting it.
I like 7.

I hope to if I can find a decent repair shop, I have a shop just round the corner but I wouldn't trust him to repair this one. Think it needs a new CPU, heatsink and possibly the fan (liquid cooled) replacing, so might be a couple of hundred squids. will have to go googling, it's quite a heavy monster as well, so has to be within a quick taxi ride as well

They have only just stopped win 98 support. They tell you they're gonna stop supporting win 7 so you will buy the new version.
I haven't bought win 7 just downloaded a copy and it works exactly as it should. If they design naked windows with no media player, games, IE, and mail program I would probably buy but I don't want their program's forced on me or left unused taken up space.
I'm the same with mobile phones. Every network forces their own program's on to it, not for me. Root them and take it all off or install new software as small as possible.

Well, how come it was outside the Welsh Sunday no drinking laws, which were only repealed in about 1968-70 ish, we were always told it was because Flintshire was in England.

Hah! just found the explanation Flintshire was classed as an exclave until April Fool's day 1974 so I wasn't far out with my dates, and as an exclave it was still classed as under English laws.

Your right my mistake there Bob.

I changed away from vista only because I was ready to do a reformat which I do now and then so I get a perfectly clean system, and my brother had been using win7 for a while and recommended it. Just wish it was an operating system with no program's added.

Thank heavens for that, I thought you were going to say they'd stopped supporting vista

I'm completely computer illiterate, what's a reformat ?
