Oh! shame on you, titter ye not!![]()
After my experience with the Hana and now this Earl 'stick' I quite agree - I said that very much tongue in cheekI'm sorry Terry et al but china should stop cloning every aspect of things.
I have several atomisers that say "Made in USA" on the base when they obviously haven't.
I have also seen on FT a few RDAs (can't remember which now, maybe omerta) that have *%&$ CLONES etched on the base and therefore the clones also have it haha

The most important thing is that it works as it should do. George, i nearly forgot. vape mesh company got back to me RE: 28 awg Ni200, and told me it will be in stock within 2 or 3 days ! I

I've come to the conclusion that I'm not meant to have a red one of any make!
I got the red Earl iStick style from FastTech last week:
It was almost fully charged on arrival, so I began using it at 6.5W. By the time it was just under half discharged, I noticed the ohms fluctuating between 1.5 and 1.9ohms and the volts varying too. I was using a mini Nautilus with a 1.8ohm coil in it, and it wouldn't go any lower than 6.4W.
I decided to re-charge it before it was fully discharged, and the display did not light up unless I pressed one of the buttons. I had to keep checking it that way to see when it was fully charged, and even then it didn't register as being fully charged in the same way as an iStick usually does.
It did appear to be working OK though, so I started using it, and didn't notice any variation in the display. This morning though, it suddenly went dead and now refuses to show any life even though the battery still had more than half the charge.
In future, I'll stick with the authentic iStick as none of the ones I've bought from FastTech have had any problems.
How are you getting on with your Smart 20 Trish ? Mine's in use every day and hasn't missed a beat (hope sods law doesn't kick in here)
I use it at low wattage with my pt2 @ 1.8ohm and currently got one of my orchids on at 18watt @1.6ohm dual coil
Fine thanks - actually using it right now with my Mint Choc Vapetto mini Nautilus! 5Watts and a 1.8 coil. (It 'lives' on a black iStick but it's being charged at the moment). How are you getting on with your Smart 20 Trish ? I had that and needed to lift the pin a bit - been fine ever since. I still think they're brilliant little devices!Mine hasn't missed a beat either - great little device. The only thing that makes it different to my iStick is that it will briefly display "no atomiser" ot words to that effect shortly after attaching one. Then it romps off. Great!
Just ordered another KF4.Went for the Infinate version this time.
Will be able to see the differences from the first i bought, still don't know who made that one.
Messaged F.T and asked but they said they had a privacy policy and did not disclose the details, if the manufacturer had asked them not to.
Have you removed the AFC screw on yours george ?
No i haven't terry, the draw really isn't very tight.Like i said when you've been using a Lemo for a while it just feels that way.
What,is it just a case of removing the screw completely and that's it.

Quick visit, Have spent all day getting this Lappy to work properly, it needed loads of updates installing, which was slowing it to a crawl downloading in the background, well I don't hardly use it these days
Have found out that it is the Pump on the liquid cooling that has seized up, so need the liquid cooling replaced, about £80 - £120 for a new unit, can't do it myself as I am an idiot when it comes to anything to do with the CPU, blew one years ago, ruining the whole motherboard, so am waiting for a company to get back to me with a time frame for fixing it, which will probably cost me another £65 - £95.
Totally agree about Microsnot and it's silly ideas, after all Desktops, Laptops, Tablets & phones are all totally different, so why should they all run the same OS, wish they would just support existing OSes and carry on giving out fixes when required, we could really do with another SP to amalgamate all the existing hotfixes as there are so many now, doing a re-install is a nightmare.
Can't see much problem with filling the KF4 with the Bell cap on, from the video it looks quite easy.
So, Terry beat you then George, never mind, yours should get there soon
Well, that's all for me tonight, will try and get on sometime tomorrow, might be a bit better now that this Lappy is totally up to date with everything.
EDIT: Knew there was something else I wanted to comment on, the Tobeco KF4 - I removed the AFC screw on that, haven't got round to using the Infinite clone yet

Can't help with Linux Vince - Plenty of people use it and say it's good, but I never have.My mate is telling me to install Linux, he reckons that it doesn;t need a security package because of "sandboxing" and that it also doesn't need updates
I've looked on Wiki but all the tech jargon is wasted on me
