Cheers for that I really feel good now.
Dave, I've been forgetting silly things since my mid-late 40's, and missing words when reading too fast (even my own missing words) - I think most people get that, and yes, it's possible your accident caused a bit of trauma (hardly surprising!) - If really worried, ask about it, but it may be a case of time for it to settle down properly. Even the psychological trauma can have profound effects on such things.

Nah! Never been a lover of brass.
Except perhaps brass in pocket! ;)

:offtopic: Just realised you joined here on my 41st wedding anniversary
Will wish you congratulations lest I forget next week! :)
Was my birthday yesterday - an anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Vapemail from Chefs. So far I've tried about 1ml of the Custard Cream (steady on there!) and enjoy the sweet biscuit flavour. I'm not getting the filling, though, so perhaps it will need to age a little.
Next up - Virtual Custard.
A little box has literally just arrived ..I think mine will be in that! :)

Yes they missed that bit  must admit I do like northern humour whether it be Yorkshire or elsewhere :)
Dad may have been an officer (and a gentleman) and was taught Latin at school, but his Yorkshire humour was ever intact - always made me smile :)

Thanks and belated birthday wishes for you too, every year is a milestone to be celebrated when we get past the big 60 even if we don't celebrate it and BoB day should always be celebrated it was one of the greatest achievements of WWII - my step-mum was a WAAF during that.

Mine too - does smell of biscuits and vanilla ...and a taste is rather nice. Suspect I'll just have to try some!
Also got LCCC concentrate, Vanilla Deluxe concentrate, and also Cherry Bakewell & Honey Milk.

Thanks :) My Mum was always proud of the date of my birthday ...all over when I was born, but still some rationing, hard times etc. ('49)

Thanks Marcus! :)

Thought you were quiet yesterday, did you go out on the Lash?
No George - was in a grumpy mood .....didn't feel well, was cross, and nothing seemed to feel right!
Had a nice lunch though: son bought M&S Apricot tart and a pot of cream! Eldest, still in Mexico until 1.20am this morning, sent sunflowers and a card :) So not all bad.
All the best for yesterday Trish:)
Thanks! :) A bit brighter today ...just want normal, that's all

My Dad was in the army: 14th under General Slim, my uncle an RAF pilot ..don't know his squadron offhand though.

Great stuff - and have many, many more! :)
Thank you! Don't mind birthdays as long as I'm OK! ;)

A Husband who listens
He said: "What can I help you with?"
She said: “Take this bag of potatoes, peel half of them and put them in the pot!"

Never had a problem at all before the crash, so I'm putting it down to the brain injury I suffered. Not really a big problem, just a bit annoying.
I've still got lots of specialist to see for insurance purposes, eye specialist because my sight has change, facial specialist because of all the face fractures ( no change to my ugly mug though ), dentists and a brain guy because of the brain injury.

Just over 2 years now and I'm getting fed up seeing people, just want it sorted and put behind me now.

It's been throwing it down all day, supposed to be thunderstorms but haven't seen/heard anything yet, they reckon it will be better at the weekend
