Doh! Trust you!

There's always a fair amount of negative stuff in there Trisha, but plenty of rebuttals too. It's surprising how quickly us vapers jump on a topic when it's obviously wrong :D The only problem is the coverage the negativity gets, until we have chance to squash it.
This sort of stuff always alarms me a bit!

I've no plans to visit East Lancs, so I reckon I'll be ok
Good - just take care of the roof tiles, loose screws and marbles and we'll all be OK! :thumb:

That didn't quite come out the way I meant , I meant the way they keep throwing it at us and always harping on about how natural it is.
Quite! :)

You're getting on with the 8.1 so it won't be much of a change for you - it's us oldies that are stuck with our nice Win7 that will suffer
Seeing I've only had W7 for 3.5 years, I'm not ready to let go of it by a long way!

Harrogate is a nice venue too. I remember going to a trade fair there many years ago. The best bit was the free champagne (get the buyers drunk and their bound to order ) and the bikini clad babes trying to draw the punters in to each stand :D Believe it or not, this was a trade fair for coated fabrics - along the lines of Burberry fabrics. My first real job was as a Lab Technician for a company that pioneered breathable fabrics. All us Lab Techs got free passes for the Harrogate venue, so we all donned our best suits, pretended to be important buyers and got very drunk on free champagne
A licensing company once took me to a trade fair at Harrogate ...it seemed to be spread all over Harrogate! I do remember having some very good salt beef sandwiches there too! Never had any before. It was a long day!
Highlight (for me) was on the way home, a military helicopter crossed the A1 right above us with a jeep dangling underneath it

That one is Saturday 27th June, I've signed up for that one, only problem is that it would only give me about 5 hours up there (looking at tomorrows train times)

Plenty of decent places to stay Bob, you could always come up on the Friday, stay over and go back afterwards. It will be a really long day otherwise, with all the travelling.

Alright Daz, not seen you around these parts for a while :)

That's a fair amount of GVC clone to mix up, you must be happy with the recipe. Do you fancy sharing it, pretty please

The recipe was of the other forum
17% capella vanilla custard
3% pa dulce de leeche
And 1% em
Mixed at 75%vg
It takes a few week to steep
I have not tried grants but really like this one.

I remember one beautiful summers day last year, i went for a ride over saddlewoth moor, and there is a nice quiet spot where i usually stop off for a vape ( Marsden Moor ) Anyhoo, long story short, i was just standing there admiring the Views, and within a split second, came out of nowhere, a bloody fighter jet screamed over my head. I nearly jumped outta my pigging skin

Obviously my mind is a little cleaner than terry's - only realised how it sounded when he commented.

I got it when it was first released as a public beta and loved it straight away - the same cannot be said about it's replacement Win8 spit

Salt beef sarnies, like those, as well as pastrami (wife not keen on latter though).

Most of it's just hot air and nonsense. Needs to be filed under B for bin

I lost my marbles the day I signed the wedding register, but don't tell the Wife

Are you sure it wasn't just a pub crawl Trisha  I've heard of salted pork before, but not salted beef - sounds lovely though. The helicopter experience is something you'll probably never see again. Bet you couldn't believe it when it happened :)

Might try and give the Harrowgate one a try myself. Never been to one before so don't know what to expect. Is it a ticket or invite only do? Do you pay to get in? How do I find out more about these events? And are there any in the North East area.
Will put this one in my diary though.

When I was on the trains, going down the Salisbury road, we used to get a lot of Helicopter activity as they used the railway lines as a point of reference to follow, could always tell when it was a Chinook following us, they have a very distinctive sound.

Cheers mate. I'll file that one away for future use. I've got the ingredients, except for the vanilla custard. Does sound like a very close copy of GVC from what I've read. I know Grant originally posted the formula on a forum before it became famous. Your recipe does sound similar to what I read a while ago :)

Just google it Dave. I'm subscribed to a couple of different newsletters, so they normally pop up in them.

You can register here: The Electronic Cigarette Exhibition just press the public button, think this one is more an exhibition for vendors to show off their wares, might be some bargains to be had though, think that's the only one up that way, unless the UK Vape Fest decides to go further North this year, last year was in Shrewsbury and like the one in Donny is an outside affair, with Vapers usually camping on site for the weekend and seeing what they can get hold of and having a good time, I only went up for the day last year and got wet :)

George, thinking back on your comments about the classies on UKV, one other thing I noticed, Hellfires - you could never get one for love nor money - now they are popping up all the time - not that I ever wanted one, have also seen a lot of Mechs being offered for sale, obviously a lot of peeps are going over to box mods.
