My last FT order (with the Rose atty), landed in the UK on the 4th - so might arrive soon.

No sign of movement with my 2 Ali Express orders though.

-----------------------------

Last day at work tomorrow, then 9 days off :D
I've got a weeks holiday then it's my long weekend after that - means I get 9 days in total. Decided to paint the hall, stairs and landing though, so that will eat up part of my break.

I've been off work for almost a year on half wages on "gardening leave" painted every room in the house at least twice and the outside front and back. My wife loves white not good with a 2 year old grandaughter

Wales are just the best team in the six nations ( except England of course ) so to play them in Wales was always going to be tough match. A slow start by England again, fairly new team though,. We played better in the second half and managed to stop Wales from playing. Good game all round as expected.

I think I'll be sticking with the usual Magnolia or a similar lightish colour. I can't go for anything too dark, the only light on the landing and stairs is either from a bulb or leaving the bedroom doors open  The Wife decided to paint one wall red at one point trying to make the landing look bigger - looked bloody awful and made the whole area look even darker, soon got changed back to magnolia

Ours is a fairly recent build (about 14 years old), but why they didn't put a window on the stairs or landing is a mystery to me.

Anyway I'm loving this istick 30 the power off it is amazing compared to the mpv 2

I also got a Porsche with the Lambo :D
I can raise you with a DB5  :)

I'd have solar panels fitted though, the roof would be that big, I could probably power half of the North West with them
Yes! there's a chap at the broadband forum, has solar panels and not only gets his electricity free, he sells it to the grid! Almost paid for themselves in the first two years.
I think they're ugly though

Guilty as charged  I like red stuff.
I like red too if it's a decent finish ..trouble is, they all seem broken! Grrr!

That's why I didn't hang around. Seemed like everyone was out for the night :(
Didn't go far ...just reading at the NT section. Clark reckons he's going to get a few Max VG ones done! ...now that would be nice - as long as they aren't apple, blackcurrant, lime or cinnamon ...or bananas! - I like the chocolate/custard/bakery ones!

It really is surprising how small they are in the flesh.
I saw the sigelei mini at FT today - slim, but not very 'mini' in height.

I've found a couple of tanks that don't want to screw in too. Guess it's just slightly different thread tolerances, even though the tanks have a 510 connector and it's supposed to be a standardised system.
Don't FT do mini threading machines?

Think that's the thing with time off in winter ...unless you're an outdoors enthusiast, decorating seems to be the thing!

Well done Englang, a good well deserved win.
I take it some sort of ball game?

Boo wales didn't turn up in the second half
...they allowed to go home half way through then? :?: ;)

We like the pale neutrals too - white is nice, and we have an ivory sort of white in the kitchen (Matterhorn) ..matches the units. Everywhere else is either a pale taupe or ivory, and two bedrooms are a pale ming blue ...restful :)
But no, not for sticky finger brigades!

Something with the chroma of red would bring the wall close, pale, light reflecting colours make them recede.

Not a Bryant house is it? Our eldest son has a decently sized house but like you, no window on the landing! He helped that a bit by putting a glass brick wall in the section at the top of the stairs, and some of the light from the front door glass and sides gets up there.

Same type of thing we like too!
We had an Edwardian house before we lived here, and on the top floor, there was a window in the roof ..dirty old thing, so we had it replaced with a Velux ...the whole stair carpet (pale grey) was dusted with black from the decades of soot that had accumulated under the surrounding tiles etc. Absolutely filthy! The builder looked more like a miner when he'd finished!

They've certainly taken #1 spot for me! :) Even the Cloupor isn't as good ..but it's still nice to use.

I had solar pv panels fitted (3.75 kw array) and solar thermal (60 sealed tubes) on the house I live in now. They're great - but there's no way that they'd pay for themselves in 2 years. You have to weigh up the energy you currently use compared to the energy that you'll generate. Solar Thermal means free hot water for most of the year - even in the depths of winter they keep the tank warm, with just a quick burst (20 mins) from the boiler. Yes, you do get paid for the electricity you generate, and you also get RHI payments for the hot water. You also get paid for the electricity you generate that you use, which is very nice. :) However, they're not a rapid cash cow, more a long-term project imho.

That doesn't surprise me - this chap is a fanatic for saving cash, so I don't know all the details now (would have to go back a fair way to try and find out) but this was his latest comments & a question from last month:

Comment:Just to put you out of your misery, if you have been tense with excitement and unable to sleep awaiting the latest news: you will be ecstatic to know that at sunset today my solar panels had provided a total output so far, at the end of January, of 11479.6 kWh, which has earned me £5,524.36.

Question: so how does it work?
You use electricity at the cost rate of your energy supplier
You generate xxxxx from your panels and this is sold to the grid at xxxxx cost
or do you only make money when the load used in your house is less than that being generated from the panels. e.g. load from panels - load in house = energy pumped back into the grid = money paid to you?

Comment/reply: No - it's far more stupid that either of these, I'm afraid!

I get paid (around 45p) for each unit (kWh) of electricity my panels generate - utterly regardless of whether I, the grid, or anyone else ever actually uses any of this electricity. To repeat: I get paid just for generating it, not for using it or for supplying it anywhere or to anyone. This is despite the fact that this tariff is deceitfully called the "feed-in tariff" when it is obviously no such thing.

In addition, any electricity I generate which I happen to use myself obviously reduces my electricity bill. And, in addition, I also get paid a very small amount for the electricty which I feed to the grid. The rate of payment for this is so small that they don't bother to measure the actual amount; they just assume that half of what I generate gets fed to the grid.

And of course I get this additional payment (the "export tariff") for what I fed to the grid regardless of whether the grid needs it at that instant or not - like in the middle of a sunny summer Sunday afternoon!

Stupid? Of course. Wasteful and pointless? Definitely. But hey, why should I care ? I'm making a fortune (index llinked and completely tax free), quite legitimately, out of this daft scheme and get patted on the back for being a good environmentalist at the same time - despite the fact that it is actually of negligible benefit to the the environment.

This chap is clever at finding the best deal going, so I'm not sure what it is he has set up, nor with whom to be exact.
Whatever, he seems happy

It won't apply to us in whatever form because I agree with you - it's not an instant return or cash generator.

But you have to push the button for 15 seconds ...
Stop it! I'm not pushing the button for 15 seconds, and that's final! :p Mine wakes up in one second :D

If this chap is a wizard electrician, plumber and roofer and he had access to cheap components that worked - well' good luck to him. Us mere mortals have to get stuff installed, and there's a cost to that.

It does mean that I can recharge all my mods and batteries for free! :)
I'm not sure he's any of the above going by what he paid for them.
One thing you can be sure of with him, he'll have researched to the n'th degree to get the best deal and return - he's obsessive like that, and you can tell!
I've looked to see when he first started talking about them, but can't find any reference from when he first got them ...earliest post I can find is the April one:

Aug 2014 I had previously calculated that my solar panels would have exactly half paid for themselves by having produced a total of 10426.77 kWh, worth £5,000, by 12:58pm on Wednesday 27th August.

I was pleased to see that by the end-of-play today, the total output had reached 10431.4 kWh, with today's generation being 10.86 kWh. My calculations show that they therefore actually reached the "half way" point at exactly 45 minutes and 47 seconds after 1 pm today - almost three days early.

July 2014: By the end of this month, I'll have recovered half the cost of my panels, after just after just 2 years 8 months - and that's ignoring what I might have saved off my electricity bills.

April 2014: Just to let you know that the total income from my solar panels at the start of this year was £3,537.40, that the total output so far at end-of-play today was 8387.11 kWh and that by the end of this summer I will have recovered half the installation cost of £10,000.

I couldn't be bothered to work it all out - apart from doing the usual reading and deciding, I like to decide what I want, and if it's affordable and practical, then go for it.

Both are 510, as is the mega MOW and ones such as Lemo - the smaller MOW and the Evod for instance, are Ego fitting - they'd need you to use the adapter provided with some batteries/mods.
Eleaf do make some of their tanks in both 510 and Ego fitting though, but yours is 510.

This page will show you the differences:
GS16

The gs air is a nice tank only one slight problem is above the airflow holes is a strip of stainless steel, once your juice gets to this level the tank looks empty. When you turn the tank upside down you got half a mill to a mill of juice left
