I have had a very very weird day today 2 medicals 1 with my GP to renew my PCV licence my GP said I am fine and I passed the medical to renew my licence then onto the hospital for my employment medical and failed that one the doc said he will see me in another 3 months so still stuck in limbo might need to go back to jersey for a month or 2

Hello stranger, no need to ask how you are - looks like you doing as we said and are taking it easy - weather is getting better down South so off with you back to Jersey and relax - just keep in touch.

Hey guys haven't been around much, not sure if I'll catch up the 50 pages or so of nattering!

How is everyone?

In vape related stuff been rocking the lemo drop and subtank mini on the istick 50 almost exclusively, haven't been dripping much as been busy busy. Both been working really well overall, occasionally the subtank won't wick very quickly when full and I've had the lemo drop leak on me after refilling once or twice as I overfilled it.

Very nice ...The one on the right definitely thinks itself a cut above!

 Stop it, my mouth is watering  I can eat one of those non stop
Another that springs to mind are the Anton Berg ones such as chocolate covered plum and brandy ...or the apricot ones! :)

...not to mention a box full of coffee creams!

Usually only found in those Pound type shops along with the Apple Rounds
Must take a look next time I'm out!

Wonder if these juice companies ever bother to taste the item they are selling, the guy who owns the local B&M to me,doesn't even vape.
I think he's done the loans and mobile phone things and this is his latest get rich quick scheme.
I suppose it's one thing to seize an opportunity, but I'd prefer someone with proper knowledge ..after all, unless I desperately needed something they sold, that's probably the only reason I'd go to a B&M.

Hi Adam! Only yesterday, I wondered where you were and that you must be busy :)

Trisha been wondering how your getting a horrible taste off your Occ coils. Can you bump the wattage up to say 15watts.To dry the cotton out a tad.Maybe the cotton is getting saturated and not burning the juice off.quick enough at the lower watts and leaving a damp taste.I may be totally wrong mind.Just something to try

The guy at Vape Inc obviously tastes his juices cos when I mailed him to complain that his Vimmy juice tasted like burnt rubber with undertones of raw onion, he informed me that it was an aquired taste  no .... sherlock
Anyway I've mailed him the batch number and asked that if Vimmy isn't the mixed fruit Vimto type taste as described, would he mind sending me a bottle of Toonz by way of replacement, we'll see

It was almost gone today, but when I read this I did take it up to around 14 for a short while and then back down to 10 ...left it until after lunch and it tastes OK! :)

I was thinking about what Adam said, and wondered if that would cause the bad taste?:

I was using it with the RBA deck and when full there's less air pressure forcing the juice through but with the OCC coils it should wick as it's just touching the cotton on the side. Might be though.

I used the 0.5ohm one when I first got it for a couple weeks and that was really good, wicked fine chain vaping at 30W. Now I've got the 1.2ohm in there as I didn't have time to re-wick the RBA section and it doesn't taste as good as I was expecting. Not sure why, only vaping it at 20-23W mainly.

Now you're making me have never liked Coffee ones and the only fruity ones I eat are Orange & Strawberry creams

I do wonder about the 0.5 coils sat there (got one in each) and may try one at some point ..just not too sure about using high watts! I suppose they may laso be OK on lower than indicated - the 1.2 ones are! :)
I was pleasantly surprised to stop coughing and spluttering when I turned the wattage up to 10 though ....and I'd only done that because the vapour was burning my mouth!!

All trial and error I suppose. I just hope the coils behave themselves - I stopped using my Nautilus because of erratic quality in the coils.

Looking at the aristocratic expression on that ones face, I can believe that!

Oh, sick ye not! ...they do strawberry and orange cream! I like them too :)

Their orders always seem to progress quickly too! :) Haven't used my 50% code yet because there's a new one coming next Tuesday! The Cure!

I ended up using my code, just in case it ran out. I'm a sucker for slick advertising

Not the 'big bang', but something of a sonic boom! - don't want to disappear down a black hole just yet!

I don't want to be the cause of mass extinction, so I'll leave the atom splitting alone for now

Is it a year since the last time?

I think they were away about 7 or 8 months ago.

Do you need to 'bond' with it again, or does it remember you :)

The first night she was a little bit on edge, so I took her outside on a lead so she wouldn't do a runner. She's fine now, curled up asleep on a kitchen chair. But only after I kicked her off my lap after she started snoring

Those Germans like their vape sweet with a fair percentage of water

I'm the same with the sweet bit, just not as much water for me. I'll play around with the PG/VG ratio instead to get the viscosity right.

Yes i`ve seen them before Trish, The link what ian posted gave me the info i needed...Wasn`t sure how much to use, but i will start using the ethyl maltol i have got now. :)

Glad to be of help mate :)

Well, it would be nice if you could actually enlarge the pictures so that you could seen them - not just bring the same small picture up in a larger box, don't think I'll bother.

That's what I thought too Bob. Must just be the photos from the manufacturer. They do have another couple of new squonkers in the pipeline too.

Cat's a she if I remember rightly, Queens are worse than Toms, can be quite vicious if they don't like you - good luck :)

Yep she's a she. She's a "rag doll" cat - the ones that just flop when you pick them up. Also her claws retract too, so you don't get threads pulled in your jumper. I've always been a p u s s y magnet, so no worries about her not liking me

Vape mail. It finally got here.

Nice mate. Glad to see they held up their end of the deal, even when they listed the price wrong :)

I'd never buy anything from a place like that. Vape shops should be run by Vapers, I can't see how they can recommend any juice, if they don't have a clue what it tastes like

Same here Bob. I'm running mine between 16-18 watts.

Main thing to remember is that the OCC heads are cotton and cotton will burn, so you must not let them dry out enough to burn, and don't wash them like you would with a silica coil like the BDCs or Kanger PT/Aerotank ones - and if they do get burnt then you might as well rebuild or dump them as you will not get rid of the burnt taste

Can't be bothered with pre-orders any more Bob.Two things..they are often slower and i'm not lending someone the money to buy something, so they can make a profit on me.
Learned my lesson with Elegant vapour over the 20w istick and the VS dna 40...Waiting,when other shops had stock and they have your money.
Same happened with Puremist over the 50w,other shops had them before their pre order stock came in.

Think you may be right, although I have never had to wait as long as you did with Elegant, Puremist reckons stock will be ready to ship on 20/04, so not too long to wait, I also have a couple of Atlantis 2 atties on their way to me.
