Sue, all you need to remember for now is...Ni200 coils/wire is for TC mods, and Kanthal for the rest. As Bob said you can run Kanthal on a TC mod, but it has to be in the correct power mode.Thanks Bob

The seizures the new dog had as yet are undiagnosed. I think it's because her owner died and she starved herself to the point blood sugar was through the floor. Unfortunately with the holidays we have to wait for more tests because emergency vet services are just not a viable solution financially given it doesn't seem to be a life and death situation
Meanwhile I'm cleared for the second surgery providing the inflammation from the first subsides more. And the old girl (light of my life)is keeping me company after stealing the Missis robe. It's actually been quite cold in Arizona shockingly. So the dogs are doing everything they can to bury their noses and get under cover. Our temps have been lower than places like NYC for a week.
On the vape front I've bought and traded. I'm now waiting for
Gus22 mod and phenomenon lite
Heron v2 and paps 18500 tube mod
Piccoloid setup with a bunch of extras! This one I've been so excited for. Dense mouth to lung vape in mech mod the size of a sharpie marker
It's a huge amount if you went and bought them fortunately a lot of trade was involved and all of us came out getting what we wanted without a bunch of our of pocket expense. Love the forum trades!
Also my wae DNA 30 mod arrived. Not sure if I showed that off with the gem. It's a lovely combination.
My home automation hub completely went on the fritz. It's remarkable how much one relies on that and so quickly. I have everything for lifting register through door trippers and schedules except the bedroom which is on remote control. Now nothing dims and I have to go to al my lamps. What is this the stone ages!

When Bob said about all those different wires I looked on The Vape Mesh Company thinking there would be one Nickel wire, one titanium one and one SS wire and that was it. I didn't realize there were different variations lol.

My mother in law lives with us she's an incredible woman who is a caregiver for the elderly. Unfortunately her event long time friend and patient died and he had a 9-11 year old mix. Some kind of sausage chihuahua mix. She's been distraught since his death and her subsequent move in. Not eating and such. She's a very sweet girl. She is definitely drawn to me as her owner was a 6'4" make I fill the void of tall guy
Anyway I think she just has starved herself so much her blood sugar dropped and she had two seizures within 10 minutes. She went immediately to emergency Saturday night and her vitals and such were good. Mane doesn't have epilepsy. And has never had them before. I really hope it was blood sugar which is the cause and not something more sinister. She's the last part of her former family - the man Jack and if something is really wrong with her I think my mother in law will be beside herself.
Here's the recent adoptee lounging on her chair cold and buried. I think she's mad I awakened her highness.

As a family animal rescue is quite important to us. We knew if we didn't take her in she would end up at the local shelter which euthanizes quite quickly. We had the room so here she is. Only had one real row between the two. Fortunately with my size (6'5" 230lbs) its very clear I'm the pack leader so a deep shout is about all it took to stop the foolishness. Other than that they buddy around and it's been nice having her. Except waking and being pinned down by two girls who are heat vampires. On the other hand without them my recovery from surgeries would be really lonely. I love my dogs.
Thanks for the Christmas wishes it seems like you're really getting on with vaping. How long have you been off cigarettes now? Or are you in transition still? Have you found some favorite flavors? Did you try queen of puddings from chefs yet? I like the welsh custard too.

I've been doing my homework on wires.
So far I have learnt the higher number AWG the wire is thin and the lower number AWG it's thick So 39 AWG is really thin and 17 AWG is thick.
Do I get a silver star now?. lol.

I'd just add that stainless steel 316L vapes very well without temp control. And to me is a cleaner material. I certainly am not meaning to confuse or say you're wrong. Just that it's a pretty good option even when just starting. If you happen to find it at a good price. Give it a shot. That's all!
YUP, here's an enlargement on that:
Higher Resistance = more wraps and/or Higher gauge AWG = thinner wire
Lower Resistance = less wraps and/or Lower gauge AWG = thicker wire
I was planning on sticking with the Kanthal anyway as the mod you gave me works fine for me.
I thought all Kanger mods would use Kanthal even the new TC ones so that's why I asked.

Yes all mods even TC ones accept Kanthal, just that with the TC ones you have to set them to Power mode/switch off the Temp mode
Oh that's great. You have been off longer than I. I took about a year to transition though. So I've been vaping on and off for probably 9 years. I stopped shortly after starting because back then it was awful. Then kept trying. It want good enoug. Eventually I stopped trying new stuff. Until about 18 months ago. Where do you get your recipes for juice? I gather there are some great sites but it seems daunting to have to get so many ingredients in. And spend a lot of time. To make things that ultimate may not work.
I see some recipes that look good but then I see they have seven flavors and think I'd have to have a medicine cabinet full of flavoring. I'd like to get to making my own but at present concentrate is as far as I can go. I just can't be in the positions even if I had the flavoring.
That said I'd like to start scouting for recipes. Preferably on a site that users rate them. Is there a central repository like that out there?
I had cats growing up. We had a dog but it form work out at the time. She went to a friends house. Since I turned 18 I've had dogs.
Bear in mind it has an inherently lower resistance than kanthal (about half for 28 gauge at least) . For example eight wraps of stainless 28 gauge may only be .8 ohm where 8 wraps of 28 gauge kanthal may be 1.5 ohm. 28 gauge Stainless wrapped at 2.5 mm is just under .1 ohm a wrap though so it makes it pretty easy to remember.
