I've coiled and wicked mine but yet to try.
Apparently it can be a leaky bugger, but the idea is to only half tighten the top cap on a fill, then turn it upside down before making it tight.Or pressure builds and floods it.

My SXmini was looking a little worn,so this morning i fitted a black snakeskin wrap to it.Very pleased,it looks like a new device. And so simple to do.
I just ordered the new bottom cap which releases more easily by hand. Can't wait to get it ! My firmware is a disaster tonight. I guess I need to reflash. I keep getting crazy screen corruption issues with mirror image pixelated display etc.

Split these independent due to length reasons. Sorry?

I'm going vegetarian - and reducing carbs. After 40 lbs gained Ina f ew months I have to go drastic. In shocked how many carbs I ate without even realizing it. Including in fruit.
The transition will be a paleo diet. Then probably vegetarian paleo.
But the first time I've been a vegetarian and it works for health and personal beliefs
I may have been vegetarian if I'd thought about it at a younger age, but once I did, I'd spent too long eating meat & fish to change my diet that much.
As it is, three years ago, we both lost weight unwittingly when changing our eating habits to get my husbands cholesterol down without drugs. In the course of 10-12 months, he went from 36" waist to 32" and I dropped from UK 12-14 to 8-10.
All I did was check the fat, salt & sugar content of everything I buy, and where available, buy things with a lower fat option.
We eliminated things like cakes, biscuits, puddings, pies/pastry, except for an odd treat now and then.
A few other changes were that we used to eat a lamb curry that had 34g fat in it, so made it so that we shared one between us and kept the quantity of rice the same as before, and rather than eat a 7-8oz steak, we'd share one between us. Things like that all helped make a difference.

20 is much less than you think. If you eat bread, potatoes or rice you're almost certainly eating more than 20 carbs a day.
We do eat bread at lunchtime every day (malted wholemeal), and we do eat potato & rice, pasta perhaps once per week.
One of our favourite meals is a Caesar salad with sliced piccolo tomatoes and a large portion of albacore tuna (in spring water).
A large piece of plain white fish is nice too with something like savoury rice or some simple vegetables and a few roast potato pieces.
Both meals low in fat and satisfying.

I had to stay on a low fibre diet for a couple of months from last October, and was gradually allowed to add some fibre, but to test things out carefully in case they don't agree.
I find that quite hard seeing I've always been fond of all vegetables, and there's definitely some I can't eat now.
Can't eat much in the way of pork items now ...no roast pork, and just small amounts of sandwich ham or lean bacon in a sandwich.
Good thing we both like chicken and fish, and small amounts of beef or lamb in things like a stroganoff are fine for me too.

WHAT ??? NOooooooooooo
I did smile when I saw the suggestion ...could almost see your face! :D
I`ll wait for my next GP visit Pipe, and see what she says. Probably get prescribed Tablets if it doesn`t come down, which it hasn`t done yet. Chippy for tea tonight :lol:
Long time since we visited the chippy ...think we may deserve a small treat at some point!

Thanks Bob - I've bookmarked those.
Going to try and set up the new monitor in a few minutes now that I have the right lead (I think!) - pain having to lug it around if it doesn't work, so I'm keeping toes crossed it works and is a decent monitor! ...oh me of little faith

Anyway. I hope you find something in happy to help mkre ping s coy in the car is a fine so long as the car isn't likely to be compromised by a disaster affecting the house! And you rotate drives.
Thanks! The car I'd keep a small drive copy in is kept on the drive, so hopefully less chance of being damaged badly. We're not a flood area, no quakes (so far), and hopefully, we'll have no fires  If the car was stolen, I can easily make another copy, but can't say I'd be happy having so much information in other hands!
It would be a big loss to me if I didn't have a backup, as all my work going back many years is stored on it along with photographic reference material, records of each piece of work and all my accounts. That's without all the other personal stuff stored for both of us.
There must be many thousands of images on one drive alone.
Never looked into storage such as the cloud ..it's never really appealed to me.

Bob/George Is THIS the wire ?

:thumb:

Right Gotcha George Thanks :) Would you say it`s better than Kanthal for the vape it gives ? And as i said, is it easier to work with than Kanthal/Ni200 ?

It's certainly easier to work with than Ni200 Terry, you won't need to space your coils(i know Bob says he doesn't with Ni anyway) and your post screws won't chop it in two. It's pretty similar to work with as Kanthal.Vape is clean, but not as smooth a ramp up as other TC wires. It's a good wire and a happy medium.

Bob, i`ve just been reading your and sue`s post re the ss wire. In TC mode does it act the same as NI200 ? If it does i may invest in a spool of that. It would be handy if i could use one type of wire in both my TC mods and none TC.

EDIT: Both my FT orders are now showing movement on the tracking :)
Do you have any mods that you can input the TCR or have a SS setting, if not then I would not advise SS, you would be better off using NiFe30 but only the stuff from Stealth Vapes, it's TCR is very close to Ni-200 so you only need to reduce the temp from say 450 down to 410-420 to use it on any Ni-200 mod and it is better than Nickel. SS is very spikey Temp wise.

It was probably me who gave you the link Sue. I`ve been using their wire for years with no issues at all, but after reading Bobs post i will start using stealth from now on. Don`t worry though, you will be fine with what you ordered. :)
Their Kanthal is okay, but I wouldn't touch any others from them, they don't know about vaping and the first lot of Ni-200 they sold was covered in some sort of oil and needed cleaning before you could use it, that's why I stopped using them and don't recommend them any more.

I was on Amazon and I noticed Stealth Vape are on there.

I'm wanting to buy 10 metres of SS 24 and 26AWG and on their website that would cost £7.97 inc £1.99 P+P

On Amazon they have the same wire but you get 5m extra free.
So you would get 15m of SS 24 and 26AWG plus 99p P+P £8.97.
The last lot I got direct from SV came with 5m free on the 10m reels, might be because I only asked for the free Muji and nothing else, but some previous ones only had the 10m, so you takes your chance :)
