A book that you would really enjoy is "Look who's back!" by Timur Vermes (English version).
For gruesome stuff - any of the Thomas Harris "Lecter" novels.
For poetry - Philip Larkin. The greatest poet in English in c20th by a clear mile!
Hah! that sounds really funny - it never occurred to me that the 'who's back' would be him!A book that you would really enjoy is "Look who's back!" by Timur Vermes (English version).
I saw a couple of episodes on TV with subtitles that really irritated me, and I've never looked at the books - will take a look. The Inspector Montalbano novels are great fun as well!![]()
Not sure how things work in the States (we are mainly in the UK), but anything sent back to any company due to problems should always be sent tracked so that you have proof it was sent.I've bought a lot of stuff from FT. Satisfied customer. I got a defective Pico. FT agreed to exchange it and gave me a Florida address for shipping. I shipped it to that address 3 weeks ago with the RMA in the address as they specifiy. It was not returned to sender so it probably got there. My account shows the replacement ready to ship. I don't have a tracking number to show them. Is there anything I can do to shake this loose?
Is this as promising as it sounds?:
US-UK Trade Bill In Congress Just One Week After Brexit Vote
That should encourage peoples optimism!Yes, I think it is. Marvellous news!
This is also encouraging:
11 Countries Gearing Up to Strike Trade Deals With Britain
Sounds good, but I hope it works better than when I was doing the same virtually with Kanger single and double coils a couple of years ago with a little vodka in the water! Still, I do have some Everclear, so may give it a tryPSA: This is a really useful tip :
Was in the café earlier, taxi driver came in saying about demo around Hyde Park causing traffic jams, thought it might be the silly remain beggars. Not so encouraging is that just over a whole week later, we have what may be around 40,000 marching on Westminster today (do they know they're home for the weekend?), saying the referendum result wasn't balanced because of all the propaganda before hand - well, if I remember rightly, those scare mongering stories were rife on both sides!
I don't think we used to blow the juice/water out, just let them dry naturally though - could make a differenceSounds good, but I hope it works better than when I was doing the same virtually with Kanger single and double coils a couple of years ago with a little vodka in the water! Not sure what you mean ...I've lived here since '93.....
It's not a prescription, it's to replace an over the counter tablet.
Why - I just want some over the counter syrup.
OK then, it's for my grandsons!
Why can't they do as the government has and accept the result, even if a lot of them didn't like it. At least they have that respect (as long as they see it through!)Was in the café earlier, taxi driver came in saying about demo around Hyde Park causing traffic jams, thought it might be the silly remain beggars.
I used to blow down the chimney, but probably didn't seal up the holes in the base. Then left them on a piece of kitchen roll on a sunny windowsill (If there was any sun that is!)I don't think we used to blow the juice/water out, just let them dry naturally though - could make a difference
I can understand it up to about here, most local pharmacies these days keep patient records on the computer and it is easier for them to look you up on the system, to see if you take anything that could react. My regular one does that, but he knows me anyway.Me: I need to replace Paracetamol/codeine tablets with syrup versions.
Asst: Do you use this pharmacy often?
Me:Not sure what you mean ...I've lived here since '93.....
Asst: Well, what's your name - do you fill this prescription here frequently?
Just saw that Bob Geldorf being interviewed on the News, he didn't take the hint from the fishermen in the Thames, and still thinks he can overturn the democratic vote of the people to leave the EU.Why can't they do as the government has and accept the result, even if a lot of them didn't like it. At least they have that respect (as long as they see it through!)
They're saying they want us to still be involved with the EU if we do leave!
The one that was there before that one knew us well, and were never anything but extremely helpful. In fact, he diagnosed hyperthyroidism for me in 1999 before the GP did!I can understand it up to about here, most local pharmacies these days keep patient records on the computer and it is easier for them to look you up on the system, to see if you take anything that could react. ....one of those occasions when Basil would have started beating something up with a branch out of sheer frustration!I'm totally fed up of hearing people say things like that - it's utterly childish and sheer sour grapes. Have they been so busy stamping their feet that they haven't read the positives that have happened in the past week?!Just saw that Bob Geldorf being interviewed on the News, he didn't take the hint from the fishermen in the Thames, and still thinks he can overturn the democratic vote of the people to leave the EU.
Funnily enough, I was wondering earlier if it had occurred to anyone in government (or had it pointed out by those that do care) just how many votes to 'remain' they may have lost had they done something about the inclusion of e-cigs in the TPD.It's like the ecig ANTZ, they only read/listen to what they want to hear, everything else is irrelevant.
