After I saw your picture, I had to seek out a Reactor. Flavor is great, and it looks even better. It challenges my atomic for favorite atty.

Thanks for the idea!

Awesome, glad you like it too. Funny I just got done swapping out an Atomic I was playing with on my LP grand; Reactor is still king in my world for now. lol On the reactor, I really like dual 11 wrap Rene 41 on 1/16" mandrel; .54 or .51 ohms. Yum yum right there lol however, that rene is a big B to work with so its usually dual 26g kanthal at .57 ohms.

So far I've tried (in order of best to worst) on my LP grand:

Reactor
Hornet
Cyclone (reg, no AFC)
RM2
A7
IGO-S
IGO-L
Zenith V2
Omega <--horrible

Nice Helmut by Modish Metal Works tip Jwat! Its the tip I use on my Atomic but I think it matches both the Atomic and Reactor...the reactor is kinda like the little brother version of an Atomic IMO.

Hmmmmm nice list going....I have been meaning to throw all my RDAs on my REOs to take pictures for people to decide on how these RDAs look on a REO.

So far in order of preferences my list is as follows:
Origen V2
Quasar
Atomic
TOBH
Cyclone w/AFC
IGO-T
Nimbus
Scar

It does look really nice. So nice that I actually started coiling higher resistance than my norm so I don't burn my mouth every third toot.
Oh the things we do for vanity.

No Magmas yet? I'm getting ready for my new LP next Tuesday, and I really like that rda, especially for traveling. Screw on cap so the AFC can't move, deep well so little chance of leakage, great flavor etc. But I tried to drill the center pin and a new bit didn't even scratch the SS (I assume) center pin. There is virtually no insulator either. The center pin is very wide. Has anybody had luck with bf conversion on the Magma?

I picked up a clone at a local B&M yesterday and converted. I was going to try to drill the insulator and part of the pin (mostly the top of the pin that extends). I can confirm there is not enough insulator there to make it work. Another problem is when you get past the insulator, you will hit the stainless on the bottom "foot" of the positive post. No bueno. Caused a short in the atomizer and would not work.

Since I had now mangled the tiny thin insulator around the pin, and could not find a stainless M3 screw, I went all in and took it apart to Dremel the pin. It is fairly ugly but works. Had to be careful not to mangle the threads but was able to slot and screw back into the positive pin.

Since the 510 insulator was toast, I fabricated one out of a drip tip condom I had around (used the old A6 method for those of you that have been around). I put it all together, used a 28ga twisted wrap at about .9 ohms, wicked with rayon and squonking away.

Long story short, if you are planning to mod this one, you will probably need to drill the pin. I am really happy I got it fixed, but for awhile there I figured I had mangled it but good. Can't tell from the outside though!

The Origen is a hybrid between a genesis RBA and a Dripper, using vertical coils you get amazing flavor but out of a dripper that uses a 1ml drip well, add in the BF pin and you get an all around amazing vape without any hassle....until you need to rebuild. The use of vertical coils may deter some from using this atty, meanwhile others use horizontal coils in their Origens. I have not used horizontal coils since I dont mind rebuilding with vertical coils and my builds tend to last a week or two before I just get the itch to try something a little different.

The Quasar is a very close second that uses the standard 3 post design. The flavor is almost indiscernible from the Origen...almost because it is only similar for 2 or 3 puffs then you need to re-wet your wicks again on the Quasar while the Origen is still saturated and possibly still has a 1ml back up before the next squonk.

Those observations are only taking into consideration F/TH, when it comes to vapor production the Quasar can fog out the Origen but that is obviously due to the large adjustable airflow while the Origen is limited to 2mm max airflow holes unless modified.

Both of these are a higher priced option but the flavor has been phenomenal, so if your looking for clouds with good flavor just get an Atomic and save your money for e-liquid and Kanthal.

ADDIT: Oh and the Origen is the only RDA I am considering purchasing a second of....must stay away from vape budget.....

Me three. No muffin tops for me.

I was the same. The is the first 22m I have had. I had heard great things on the Magma and wanted to try it. I have a 20mm Patriot clone, I like a lot, but had always stayed away from the 22mm's. Have to say the flavor is great, and the muffin top is not bothering me like I thought it would. The door will not push up, but it made me realize I do not do that anyway.

Thanks for being the experiment for this one.
I thought about the possible issues with the design in that deep well, and thought a hole through the center pin was the way to go. Since I don't have a drill press, I tried to drill it out with a hand drill, but apparently it's stainless and I couldn't even scratch the end pin with the bit. So, then I thought maybe notch it out down the side with my Dremel. I placed it in my crap*py little table vice, and I was actually making progress-- When the pin flew out of the vice at an **extremely** high rate of speed, so fast that I didn't hear or see a thing! It may have flown out the window and is probably still in flight somewhere over Tampa by now.
So now I need to find something I can use to replace the center pin, nothing as yet. "Twas my favorite RDA, too.
This is some crazy stuff we do.........

Someone posted in the BF experiment thread posted that they fabbed one out of a M3x.5 stainless pan head screw. Had to take the outside of the pan head down a bit to fit.

Thank you for that. I thought I remember something like that, couldn't remember where. I really like that atty with the screw cap and deep well (great flavor) it's ideal for "the road"

Drilled out some more drippers ...
14593261185_e817f6514a_z.jpg

A quick drilling takes less than 30min from start to finish including the wire holes but a busted bit in the center post can take all afternoon to fix.
14591384444_82381b0699_z.jpg

I've drilled out 2 Magmas as I really thought I'd like them in BF form ... but they get too hot and I've yet to get wicking to keep up.

For some reason I like the slightly smaller of my patriot clones the best?
