BCV Cohiba SC is a nice cigar bite to my Hangsens. 1.25% Cohiba mixed as a standalone and then blend 20ml HS to 5ml Cohiba. Its not ashy but its sharp. I kept on cutting a 5% try new flavor test and its was way to overpowering and ended up at 1.25% so it doesn't overpower the tobac.

Yup! +1 on the Cohiba!

If you like a good Turkish vape, don't skip on the SC Turkish. The French Pipe is also very good. I'm looking forward to trying the SC Havana Dry, upon the suggestion of @Vicman.
You're killing me man! ;)

Does it hold up as a standalone? I'm not a big mixer. Most mixes I try end up tasting muddy to me.

I would say a stand alone mix of the SC Cohiba would be enjoyable. As @AlterUrEgo said, it's not ashy, so if you like the ash, perhaps some INW DNB at .5 to 1% couldn't hurt and might help.

mixes I try end up tasting muddy to me.

Just out of curiosity, what's your typical mix ratio of PG/VG?

I found my mixes to be muddy as well, until I started mixing with a 40PG/60VG ratio. That PG ratio just made all of my tobaccos and everything else in the mix pop; nice carrier of flavor.

I have to mix the SC Cohiba with another tobac, its just too strong tasting IMO to be vaped as a standalone but thats my opinion. vaping the HS/Cohiba blend with a .5ohm clapton in a TFV4 and its mighty good. I been vaping 60/40 since I began making my own juice. Its a nice change from the grassy HS/RTS TA blend I vape regularly.

So is Cohiba still the must-try SC flavor? Doing a Bull City order soon and want to pitch one or two in.

You won't go wrong with SC cohiba so go ahead and add it to your order. Last time I ordered it I ordered 5 bottles. I want a life time supply of it:)

cohiba holds up very well as a stand alone. Start it at 1.5% and work up. It don't need much steep time.

I'm usually 50/50. I'm a flavor .....

Nah....if you're 50/50, keep doing what you're doing! :)

I think the muddy factor for me was that I was using a max VG mix at one point; the tobacco flavors were being muted because of that. ;) I'm a much happier vaper now that my PG ratio is higher.

Depends on what you want but for me, Cohiba is a good broad leaf tobacco type flavor that doesn't seem to have much else added to it. Stand a lone, it's great as a tobacco and nothing but the tobacco type flavor, but I like it best as a mixer.

For a ciggy type flavor, Real Cig is well named and reminds of the smell of an open pack. A bit too much ash for me stand a lone, but fantastic as a mixer. I don't have Ina DNB, but tossing in a few drops of Real Cig works like a charm in a lot of my mixes.

As mentioned by nos, French Pipe is to die for. Probably my favorite stand a lone SC flavor.

And so on and so forth. Good luck. :vapor:

Man, I gotta be honest here, my tastes are a'changin :?:

My once favorite dark for pipe isn't my digs anymore...gunks my coils too much to enjoy, even with rayon.

For a while I was super hesitant with Hangsen. The reason is ludicrous but I'll just be blunt - because it's from China. I realize how stereotypical and "wrong" that judgment was, but I was nervous

But I'm over it and gotta say, I don't think I've tasted a better DIY than Hangsen's Desert Ship mixed with EM and AP. I pretty much stole a recipe from, I THINK it was Bob Chill? Sorry if wrong...someone here though. 7% DS, 1% AP and 1% EM. DANG it's delicious, and doesn't seem to be gunking much at all :)

I was the same way for waaaaay too long! I still kick myself for not trying them and SC flavors sooner. ;)
I think next time I order flavors I'll branch out into Hangsen, maybe SC too. The Desert Ship is so spot on IMO, now my interest is peeked! I did try arabic - not really my thing, but good.

I'll need to try the TFA Hazelnut. I have the SC Hazelnut and it's not a very accurate hazelnut for me.

I like Hangsen Peanut Butter over TFA. The Hangsen is weaker and still not totally acurate, but close enough in smaller percents to add a hint of smooth peanut butter to the mix.

Think you'll like it but it's not a straight up hazelnut. Tastes like a blend of a reasonably honest hazelnut and TFA's French Vanilla Deluxe. Got a lot of buttery, custard-like elements. Needs to be used judicially and I usually meld this with another hazelnut. You may also encounter difficulties with TA's, some alkaline tobacco's or just plain good nic going to solution in high VG. Definitely best stirred but not shaken.

I'm searching for my hazelnut tobacco heaven. Anything approaching Ginger's TVR marvelous hazelnut accented RY4 and two hazelnut tobacco's variants. Close a few times but no banana. Hard to get it right and mild and so wonderfully creamy smooth. It's my fav big cloud vape in high-power at 100% VG.

Good luck. :D

At the moment, I have Euro Flavor Roasted Hazelnut steeping away in a test and review batch. In about a week or so, I'm hoping to have some good news.

For the record, most of their tobaccos are quite good. I particularly like their Cigar Cuba; very nice, if you're looking for an authentic cedar note in your cigar mixes (.5 to 2% max is all you need). :)
