Have you try vegie eggroll?. If ya have a chinatown near you, ya might wana ask someone there for direction to a vegetarian restaurant.
You mean a spring roll? If so then yeah, I usually get 2 spring rolls and an order of vegetable dumplings. I don't have a china town near me, I just live near NYC

I think we have different definitions of hippies. Clothes and drugs don't make a hippie.

Yeah, it misses me off when people think that the word "hippie" is synonymous with "stoner" or "pothead".

Being a hippie is about putting others and the world before yourself. Being a hippie is about making sacrifices to better the environment and the world. A hippie is a political activist and is someone who is against the evils of larger corporations, as well as republicans and most other politicians. Being a hippie is about peace, love, and understanding. To be a hippie is to fight materialism and the other evils that eat away at our society.

For instance, I volunteer my time for environmental projects like planting trees. Despite loving certain types of meat I became a vegetarian to make up for others who over-consume meat and contribute to the industry of factory farming. I grow my hair out for "Locks For Love" so little girls who have to undergo chemotherapy can have a nice wig if their parents can't afford one, despite being called a ... and other names since I started growing my hair out for Locks for Love the first time. When I smoked cigarettes I smelled like an ashtray all day because I refused to litter my cigarette butts, so I would twist out the remaining tobacco and put them in my back pocket until I could find a garbage. I buy my clothes at thrift stores to fight sweatshops that produce clothing in third world countries. I generally spend my money at stores owned by people, not companies, despite things being a lot more expensive. And despite my back problems I do a lot of walking to avoid the consumption of fossil fuels.

I probably missed some things, but that's mostly what being a hippie is all about.

Was saying that hippies mostly became the establishment and sold out for the most part. Even sold out to Madison avenue I remember a time when a band wouldn't even consider being spnsrd by any major corp. entity. Now every other commercial is some old song by a band that has sold out.
Unfortunately our society has allowed these big corporations to grow and crush all the independent competition, so sometimes you have no choice. Most of these bands are not filling up huge stadiums anymore, so they have to do that kind of stuff to support their families. You fight it when you can, but sometimes you're forced to give in.

Nope, not vegan, I eat eggs and cheese, I love cheese so much, I could never go without it.

OK then, get some "Gimme Lean" vegan sausage, 1 serrano pepper, green onions, an avocado, and some jack cheese.

Fry up the Gimme Lean in a skillet about 2 tablespoons or a little more, with some olive oil, break it into chunks as it's cooking.

Throw in the onions and pepper chopped up pretty good. You should have 2 eggs whisked up in a bowl, with a little salt. When the peppers and onions are a little browned, throw in some butter, let it melt, then the eggs.

Turn it for a bit, then add avocado slices and grate the cheese over the whole thing. Don't be afraid to turn it some more and let the cheese fry a little.

Now for the breakfast potatoes:

Chop up a russet potato, into semi circle or quarter circle chunks, a little over 1/4 inch thick. Into the skillet, with salt, pepper and a generous portion of olive oil. Cook over high heat for 7 or 8 minutes. Turn, repeat until browned and cooked through.

Have chopped: 1/2 Anaheim pepper, 1 clove of shallot, finely chopped.

THE following is important!

Lower heat, let the whole thing cool off a bit. Then dump the peppers and shallots on top of the potatoes along with a nice chunk of butter. Cover.

Let the butter melt over the taters. When it has, stir the whole mess together and let it ll fry a little longer, careful not to burn anything!

You are now rocket fueled to face the day...;)

I do admire your altruism it is what being a hippie is supposed to be, you should be applauded. Now as for the bands and selling out I hardly think the who, led zep, the beatles, & the stones need the money and they have all done commercials.

You would think so, but that usually isn't the case. When artists are in their prime and making a lot of money, they're also spending a lot of money. Once they're no longer big bands and the money has dried up things can get tough.

The only band out of the ones you mentioned that I would classify as hippies though would be the Beatles. However, neither Paul McCartney nor Ringo Star (Or Yoko Ono Lennon or the Harrison estate for that matter) own any rights to the Beatles music. It's all owned by Michael Jackson because Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono combined didn't have enough money to outbid Jackson. So whenever you hear a Beatles song in a commercial or movie, it's Michael Jackson who's making the money.

I would assume that being paul McCartney is a billionaire he could have easily outbid Jackson, Paul obviously wasn't interested in buying them Because never at anytime ever did michael Jackson have more money than Paul McCartney. It is an absolute disgrace that paul doesn't own his own music. I once again did not mean to offend anyone I'm sure there are still a few hippies lingering around.

Most worcestershire sauce contains anchovies so most are not vegetarian.

What? I always check the ingredients of everything, and I never saw anchovies listed. Would they be listed under a name other then "anchovies"? Maybe I'm thinking of some other sauce then, because I definitely would have seen that. Hell I wouldn't even eat anything with anchovies when I did eat meat.

Edit: I just double checked. It doesn't list anchovies so I'm really hoping that there isn't another name for them.

I just checked my bottle of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce and it says it has anchovies.

Does any Worcestershire sauce *not* contain anchovies? They're one of the the main flavours of the stuff - something I always enjoy pointing out to people who profess to hate anchovies.
According to wiki there are some vegetarian worcestershire sauces, but almost all worcestershire sauce you buy in the supermarket has anchovies.

I'd completely forgotten about Henderson's Relish. It's nice if you can find it, but good luck with that if you aren't in the Northwest of England.

Morningstar Farms "sausage" crumbles are very flavorful, they are italian sausage style. I also find that I can spice up a garden burger with some sundried tomato pesto. I don't really care for the veggie burgers that try to simulate meat. They do a lousy job, so I don't really eat them.

On the other hand Gardenburger has some barbeque "riblets" that are really awesome.

Quorn makes a great base for tacos as well. The selection of Quorn products available in the US is very sad compared to the UK, but their products are pretty good.

My Trader Joe's Worcestershire sauce doesn't list anchovies as an ingredient, so unless they have another name, then it doesn't contain anchovies.
