I'm a little confused. A few years ago my dad had an Rx for this thing that looked like a cig. It didn't work for him though. So my question is how can the FDA ban something that's already on the market. In fact when I first started looking for e-cigs that was what I had in mind. I much perfer my e-cig though it is soo much better {vape} oh yea :D

Your dad had a Nicotrol Inhaler. No vapor. Just air sucked through a core containing nicotine. It had a throat hit -- to the point of causing a user to cough -- but was ineffective for most.

The electronic cigarette is not even a cousin to that failed product. Welcome to a new and better world of e-smoking.

Well, one big problem with the design of that product was that you needed to take 80 puffs over the course of 20 minutes to get the full dose of nicotine out of a cartridge. If you forgot to take a puff 4 times a minutes and set it down for a while, the liquid would continue to evaporate. Needless to say, most people were not getting the full dose of nicoitne out of each cartridge.

I know what you mean lilred! I vape now instead of smoke, I too am an addict and I'd much rather be an addict to my e-cig than analogs anyday---so fun and much more flavors!!! Hey, I quit smoking on April 11th and broke even on June 2nd, I was a HEAVY Smoker and I'm a HEAVY Vaper! Vaping is so much more enjoyable!! :D VAPE ON--lilred---I Love New Mexico!! :toast:
