I store my 60mg nic in 30ml bottles. I store my 100ml nic in 15ml bottles with euro droppers. Also be sure to label the nic mg, lot#, expiration date, and freeze date. I use labels, then put clear tape over them.
Also, most of my mixes use 20% flavoring, so I make 120mls of my Nic/PG/VG "base", which lasts about a month. This way you're only using the high nic once a month or so.;)

Yes, I store with 100 mg nic in 2 oz. bottles, and use the ejuicemeup calculator. eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

I save the original plastic container, and pour 1 0z back into the plastic WL bottle I saved. I pour the other half into a 1 oz. amber, or cobalt blue bottle, and refreeze. It may sound like work, but it only takes a few minutes. Just be sure to wear gloves, and have the bottle over paper towels in case you spill a bit. I use a 50mm funnel for the transfer.

I do cut what I pour back into the WL plastic bottle to 50 mg. I do that for safer handling and to lessen the amount of oxidation. WL says the oxidation will not harm strength, or other qualities of the nic, it will simply make it turn color after a while.

One other reason I don't dilute for freezing purposes, is I may want to change the strength on a whim. I started at 24 mg, and am now making my final mixes at 18 mg. I may decide to change to 16 mg soon. Maybe even cut it down even further.

You can go ahead and dilute it to what ever strength you use if you want to. It just takes up more space in the freezer. The ejuicemeup calculator will still take care of the final mix. Just make sure you label the strength when you freeze it.

Pardon the rambling, I didn't get much sleep last night. I hope I made sense!

So everytime you DIY your working with 100mg nic is that right? How large of bottles?

I'm a little confused about how to transfer 100 mg pg based nicotine from liter bottle to 1 oz amber bottles. I want to limit the exposure to air as possible. I thought the best way to do that was to use a mini funnel and pour straight from liter but realized I won't be able to eyeball the correct level without overfill due to the amber color. I've got my gloves, safety glasses, glass pan for spills, close to sink, etc. All I need is some help on what is the best way and diy tools to fill the amber bottles from a liter.

I use a Pyrex measuring cup, and gloves. A mini funnel is OK, too. I set the bottle on paper towels in case I get accidental spillage. I don't worry about exposure to air. It won't hurt a thing.

where you get your bottles, measuring equipment? I can't find it now but the amber glass bottles were much cheaper at home depot or walmart than at specialized DIY stores for almost the same ones. I just ordered 4 liters of unflavored nicotine PG base. I'd like to get started on putting the nic in smaller bottles.

I used to go with sunburst. Glass Bottles | Sunburst Bottle their shipping is high but if you get enough quantity you actually get a great deal over all. they also have small plastic mixing bottles. Hmmmmm But I see now they have changed their web page and pricing..... looks like if you order a lot ($200) you get free shipping. not sure now how they compare now.

OK found the 60ml polycone lid bottles at .50 each not sure what the postage is.. http://www.sunburstbottle.com/amber-glass-boston-round-bottle/p/AB2POLY/

I bought and froze about 2000 ml of 100 mg nicotine but am new too and have no intention of diy until I am ready which may be awhile since I just added it to my personal research's unless of course our beautiful government forces my hands but even than I have some time since I have a bunch of vendor juices here and am ordering more as I go,I also have couple rebuildable atomizers I have no intention of touching for quite some time unless of course.......

Stocking batteries now, which is probably unnecessary but considering that I do not want to build a mod at all hopefully never I feel better that way of course I have also book marked a few sets of instruction just on case. I am ready and becoming more ready by the day. I feel your pain though being new, trying to research and see what works for you and what flavors you like is hard enough without also having to worry about a time schedule add in a budget and well you start chain vaping your supplies.

It will most likely be ok though, there are people ready to fight, I just have no intention of allowing them to ruin my fun while the fighting takes place....I would much rather be following the process while happily vaping

There's no telling what the government is capable of. Read my signature at the bottom.

There are some older DiYers here who are a little upset because their favorite vendors don't have nicotine to sell. I don't know about anybody else here but I just started vaping not too long ago after quitting 30 years of a pack and half a day analogs. To hear that our government may tax the hell out ecigs or ban it outright is terrifying to me. Being a new vaper, I don't have the time to whittle down the nicotine mg. I thought I had plenty of time to try out DIY supplies. I've read and asked advice. The most was to stockpile nicotine and the rebuildables atomizers. I will say one thing, I am amazed and surprised just how much better I physically feel. Being a long term smoker, I was so used to not being able to go up the stairs without puffing. Coughing and hacking in the morning was routine. I just never thought about it. I'm trying not to go overboard and maybe eventually I will lessen my intake of nicotine. It's the luck of the Irish to discover this gem called vaping only to get it taken away if I'm not careful.

I know what the government is capable of,I know better than most and learned my lessons baptism by fire method, a lot here never had cause to learn and wouldn't believe if told, that is something I don't begrudge them. The road to that understanding is something I wouldn't wish on anyone and I know had the stakes not been so high I too would still be in a bubble of willful ignorance quite happily. I didn't want to know, there's no changing it in my life time.
This though,if the FDA goes after and is allowed to destroy this market with the governments blessing they are in effect handing out a death sentence to millions of their citizens and they are doing so publicly and attaching their names. I joined this fight not just for my myself but for smokers everywhere. These are our mothers, fathers, children, brothers, sisters, friends, neighbors and they like us have tried to quit many times and a lot are afraid to try again remembering the physical and mental pain of previous attempts. These people get sicker by the day and most will never recover unless they find this path.
This is something we can win because we fight for our lives and the lives of those we care the most about, we have facts and we have proof that can not be covered up.....we are the proof and our numbers grow stronger by the day. I will stock and I will be prepared for a long fight because this is important. The nicotine selling out across the country, the shipments poring in from china,The explosion of growth.....These things are good ,they send a strong message to those that watch these things. We are here and we are preparing......we will fight.

I'm not so worried about the FDA and haven't stocked up more than normal. The government sees the handwriting on the wall and realizes that smokers are quitting or switching to vaping. We will have to pay a little more to cover the tax on juices that contain nicotine, but I'm betting that the cash cow (nic related products) will still be available just as before. The government needs money and they are losing out to people who quit smoking taxed tobacco products.

If they outlaw ecigs and DIY products that contain nicotine, then I will probably just wean myself using what I have left and quit nic for good. It's a win/win situation either way.

I'll probably go back to smoking. I'll save all my butts, and mail them to the FDA.

Check this thread out: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/396145-super-easy-diy-method.html

At least when you start, try buying the nicotine close to the level you vape it. That makes it much, much easier and also safer.

I suggest you order some European style amber bottles from here so you will have something to store it in once you receive the nicotine. Every place that I've seen ship it to you in plastic bottles and you don't want to store it in those.
