Could have been worse. Sorta the same info we mete out here. Lock the fire button. Keep away from loose change. Don't plug up the vent holes. Don't leave it in a car at 150F in the sun. Even in the reporting, it's not just mod, but they want to know the battery manufacturer as well. That's good. They can see a long list of Efest and Maxifre whatever off battery brands as the common theme.

The only issue I saw was "don't use your phone or tablet charger, only the one that came with the product". I guess they never actually like bought some mods to see what comes in the box, because a wall wart is not included.
Oops.

Under their "Tobacco Products" tab. Thought that interesting.

EDIT: Ok to post link. Tips to Help Avoid "Vape" Battery Explosions
The person who wrote the material knows nothing about e-cigs, electronics or batteries. The writing is incompetent and insulting and that's certainly intentional.

The FDA is a bunch of cop wannabes who got badges without having to go to cop school. How about let's get rid of them and start over.

I'm not sure they were intentionally trying to be insulting. At least the graphic was a generic mod and tank, and not just a vape pen like they usually do.

Could have been worse. ...

Agreed.

Those who Know Me know that you I have Seldom Posted positive things about the previous FDA's. But in this case, I think the FDA is taking a Step in the Right Direction.

A Glaring Omission though is what Robino1 pointed out. That any type of Battery Cell should Never be Carried without being in some type of Battery Case.

So, we're supposed to start believing that the FDA has our best interests in mind? What is the real reason that they wrote this?

They did it as part of a psychological warfare program to get you to let your guard down before a SWAT team breaks in and seizes the nic in your freezer.

Federal properties don't (necessarily) fall under state or local regulations. I wonder if there is a Federal policy on vaping in their office buildings or elsewhere on their properties. (Navy ships aside)

Here's one for you. Federally funded public housing is banning all tobacco use on the property/apartments. Not sure if it's kicked in yet or still scheduled. E cigarettes are specifically excluded from the ban.

Best part of big government, one part has no idea what the other is actually doing.

No way I'm giving up freezer room for nic. Dat's for pizza and corn dogs. If I stockpile, it's going underground.
