FDA's Newest Approved Weapon to Stop Smoking!!!

I didn't know this, so i am assuming many others here haven't seen this.
We all know how e-cigs are safer than cigs. PERIOD.

I was on Chantix for 2 weeks and got depressed ( I didnt realize what it was at first ) so I QUIT

It was much easier to quit than cigs !


Amazing to see what is OK to the FDA and what is NOT , actually this just proves the point that enough studies and $$ can get ANYTHING approved.

I was on Chantix as well. I did have some mild side effects previously mentioned but it worked for me too. Until I quit taking it as prescribed. I'm not too good at taking meds on a schedule, so needless to say I went back to analogs. It is a very dangerous drug though. Before I started I read lots about the drug so I would know what to expect going in. I informed my family of the possibilities and what to do. I did feel a little on edge most the time but the other side effects were very mild.

Chantix gave me the most vivid and disturbing dreams.
Then I would have to get up during the night and SMOKE A CIGARETTE!@#$!

That is no way for me to stop smoking. Vaping works. End of story.

Wife and I took Chantix, twice. Tried it in the spring of 2008 and again in the spring of 2009. Made us both sick to our stomach after taking it for weeks. Weird and vivid dreams,too.
Did not quit smoking tobacco cigarettes after many, many weeks of Chantix.
Bought Rn4081 SmokeStiks first day of July 2009.
Completely quit smoking tobacco cigarettes first day of vaping, July 2009.

It gets even better dude because of the potential side effects my HMO only allows you to take it for six weeks. Those who do quit while on it mostly go back to smoking after being taken off it. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

I tried chantix for 2 weeks once and it didn't even help me cut down. I still have some of it sitting in my medicine cabinet.

Chantix made me completely nauseated the whole 6 weeks I took it. To combat the nausea I was given another pill. It made me highly anxious and agressive so I was given another pill. Now I was taking 3 pills and smoked twice as much. After 30+ years of 2.5 packs a day it's amazing vaping worked day ONE. No extra pills or other side effects except my new love of shopping for vaping goodies with all the analog money saved! My doctor, the old fart and conservative he was didn't disagree with my vaping. My pain management clinic's doctors ( i'm a disabled paramedic/FF) were amazed with my new toy and insisted that I show it to his staff of mostly smokers, not to forget to mention that my pain meds are now more effective that I quit analogs giving my body better blood flow to carry the meds!
