Disclaimer, I am not saying anyone else should try this, and hold no responsibility if anyone does and stuff goes boom :p

The way I duck down my voltage is fairly crude myself. I have a puresmoker v2 unit, I just took the switch disk that bumps the voltage down from two 3.7v cr batts to ~ 5 volt and place it on top of the positive terminal on the top battery when stacked in the GG. The disk sits a bit higher than the terminal top, so the voltage passes through the disc and I get that ~ 5v vape from those batts. I havent noticed a problem with it or batt issues.

My own concern had been if the disk would heat and damage the top of the battery but this doesnt seem to happen or hasnt yet anyway (couple weeks trying it on and off).

How fat is this disk syn my friend? Is it flat or it has a "nose"?

Id say its about a mm thick, its a flat disk with a hole in the middle (which fits somewhat loosely around the top of a battery terminal)

When on the top of a standard battery terminal its about half again taller than the top of the terminal itself, so if you place the disc on the top of the battery the flat portion of the peg impacts only the disc, which contacts with the terminal effecting the voltage drop.

In this particular instance its fairly inelegant but works for my uses anyway haha.

"I'm jealous that you have found your perfect juice at the perfect voltage That's awesome....what is it? maybe it will be mine too!"

Geoff,
I am a menthol guy. I dont even like other flavors of juice, Ive tried it, just cant do it. I stick with Menthol flavors from multiple vendors. I always vape at 6 volts. I used to use 3.7 volts....then I went to 6 volts... and never looked back. Occasionally I will use a PT at 5 volts. But yeah, I dont switch flavors ever....Always menthol.... and menthol seems to do well at high voltage....

This is just my experience and what I like......Others will like to switch juices often, and voltages often.... Just isnt me....

Now, That doesnt mean I wouldnt be interested in Variable Voltage.... I would use it or buy it as a add on, but I dont think its a deal breaker, like I have to have it... but I do think its cool, and I do think many people would like it... Just isnt something I need... more like something cool to play with... for a week or two. (for me)

I really didnt knew that a disk of a metal that is a bad contuctor will make so big difference syn my friend. Maybe I have to try it. Thanks for the tip

At the least you get a curiosity of an item out of it and a different vape experience. It's kind of a pain since the disc is so small in general, but its nice when I want a higher voltage vape (prefer 5v to 6v) and dont have the facility for a pass through or whatever.

That being said, the GG is an awesome device. Stellar craftsmanship and attention to the product. Easily my favorite Mod unit, hands down. Thanks for such an amazing product Imeo :)
