I realize that the old system had backfired badly and it needed to be reworked but under the new system where nobody but buyer and vendor can respond it has become useless. With so many positive reviews the few negative ones drop off the frontpage very quickly and, i believe, for that reason vendors hardly ever respond.
I don't doubt the old system had gotten out of hand but the new system seems to be completely useless. Is there not a way to keep positive and negative reviews separate? Or maybe drop the positive vendor reviews period? If a vendor does not get a negative review that should indicate to all that customer service is up to par.

It would make sense to just convert the forum into a "Vendor Problem Resolution" forum. That way a buyer can resolve a problem with a vendor in a more formal setting in which the two can converse.

As for the eliminated positive reviews from this forum..... the whole ECF forum is filled with volumes of "pat on the back" threads. I don't think the loss of this one sub-forum for positive reviews is going to detract from the overall praise a vendor gets for doing a good job or having a good product.

IMHO :vapor:

hi, roly! you'll be happy to hear i can see it now in ff ;) - still working on ie ......

now, if there were only a way to make members realize that just the customer and vendor can post, lol

i have not used this part of the forum for ages but will stop there and most of the time end up sending a pm explaining the rules to somebody who is hoping for feedback from other members. yep, stickies usually don't get read!
