Hmmm..overfilling? Well, I was able to get about 45 drops in using drip-taryn spin-drip method until the filler looks slushy, but overly saturated (like I always do with my coolcarts or wow blanks) Do you think that's too much? Also, I was using Tastyfinger from TV in the carto. This all happened on my 3rd time refilling(less than 48hrs use of carto). Is it possible this particular juice caused like an instant carmelization on the atty wire? If so, is there anything I can do to fix the carto or is it pretty much toast? TIA:)

I fill mine to the maximum and usually have a little gurgling for several hits, which is fine. I have noticed lately that 2 Taryn spins is all I ever need. 30 rotations in the air each spin. Then the filler is moist to the top or close enough that you can't add more than a few more drops. So I always quit after 2 Taryn spins now.

I tried another juice and it works better. If the MF cartos are going to be sensitive to different juices, they may not be right for me. I hope it can be addressed bc I like the vapor production and the tips are great for topping off. I just wish I hadn't bought so many. File under lessons learned.
wanna sell them to me? :) pm me.

II ordered a battery and five cartomizers. 3 of the 4 cartomizers have instantly tasted burned. I was going to order a kit, but if this is typical of the cartomizers, I probably will not do that. Did I get a bad batch? If so, I cannot afford to keep taking that chance. I do not like filling my own, yet I have to do that with these. I was able to drip 25 drops after only one puff on a fresh cartomizer. Please advise.

how many drops did you fill the carto with initially?

I would like to keep this thread going on the burning taste issue. I really prefer the MF cartos to anything I have used except for the burnt taste. When the new shipment comes in, please report on this. I am hoping it gets resolved. I would be especially interested to know how others feel they perform on a passthrough because that is my primary way to vape. I had less problem using them with a battery. Also, please let us know if you find any specific types of juice that work better or worse. I would hope that the MF wouldn't be sensitive to juices as that reduces the versatility of the carto. Thanks

I have used the MF carto's for the last couple weeks with no problem at all. I ordered the menthol carto's and refill with vaporstation's Seattle. I have never had a burnt taste. I refill with apx 10 drops right on the cap and i'm good to go for another hour or more depending how much I'm vaping.

I haven't tried my blank carto's as of yet but I'm hoping to have the same experience. The MF batteries are superb. I've also vaped with my V4L passthrough with no problem.

MsOcean,

I just blow through them until nothing comes out, then let them set. It's usually not too much. I mean, not so hard that you blow the liquid out of the filler, of course. ;)
.

If you hold the carto up to your eye, mouthpiece end with piece removed, should you be able to see right through the center tube, like on a V4L blank carto?

Nope. The internals of these are not typical 808. The coil is actually in the bottom, laying horizontal. You might see a little daylight, but it is not an open tube like an 808.

- Bloog doesn't make a manual battery (yet), so you don't want to see through the carto as this means the fluid could flow through the carto too easily if you refill them, possibly interfering with the sensor or ruining the battery. This has happend to me with other brands. Manual (push-button) batteries are sealed so this is not a problem for them. I just compared a Fusion to a MaxXFusion carto and I can see right thru the Fusion and not at all through the MaxXFusion carto; I believe this is one of Leaford's improvements to the MaxxFusion carto. I will still be careful filling them, but I don't forsee a problem now. Yay!

I am having some trouble here. Taste drops off severely, after initial refill. Usually, there is a slow progression upon subsequent refills, but not with these. Last night I tried a new flavor in a new bloog carto and decided I wasn't crazy about the flavor, after only about 4 puffs. I thought if I emptied the carto, boiled and dried it, that it would be almost as good as new. Didn't happen. Refilled with one of my fav juices tonight and couldn't taste it at all:( Carto looked nice and white, no gunk on atty coil, fired perfectly and produced tons of vapor---just no flavor. I'm really confused. I'm not sick and haven't vaped anything drastically taste altering (like Atomic Cinnacide;) for a couple days. Is it possible that I just got a bad batch of cartos?

I only had the burnt taste problem with the blanks. I tried one from another box yesterday I had & it tasted burnt too. Sometimes it would taste bad after the first puff and others after 10 puffs. I tried 12 out of 50 that I ordered & couldn't find a good one.

Geez, I feel bad you bought so many!

I am beginning to find some discrepancies with the MaxxFusion cartos myself. Some of them work great and some of them give a burnt taste after 3 or 4 puffs and they are saturated, not dry.

I think that these need some tweaking as they are not consistent like, say a Boge HR Premium which you can pretty much count on being a workhorse at 3.7V

I am sure Leaford and crew will get these figured out and like everything else new they will improve with time.

When they DO work they give off great vapor!

To clarify, I had good results with prefilled MF cartos. I only had the burnt taste problem with the blanks. I tried one from another box yesterday I had & it tasted burnt too. I have problems with prefilled reds and 555 as well but not as bad as the blanks.

That's the way it goes sometimes with new products. I am not upset with Bloog, I just hope it gets addressed so I can start buying them again. Like many say, when they work they're great and the easy fill tip is awesome for dripping. I fill using the condom but the ability to drip so easiy and without juice going down the center is really revolutionary.

I am hoping to hear good things from the new batches that come in.

Ok I have honestly been having the same issues when I vape the cartos.... here is are some things that I have noticed that cause some of the problems and can be avoided....

When vaping on a carto and the battery dies... and I put the old carto on a new bat.... it will right away start to taste burnt... I think the fully charged bat is just too much for the carto.... so now when I do that ....I just vape really lightly on the bat for the first 10-20 pulls... this seem to help tremendously ....till the battery levels out a bit...

Also when taking very long ... very hard pulls I think this also activates the battery to the point where it burns out the carto much faster...as most of you know the maxx batts with the maxx cartos....it’s hard to hit the 5 second cut off.... but when you push it there with a hard pull my cartos burn out faster.... when I take light long pulls to the cut off it gives me the same effect and vapor without the burning out....

I think we all used to pulling very hard on the KR808's and have to remember WE DONT NEED TO WITH THE MAXX fusion!!

I know leaford is working very hard to make the cartos the best and get the quality control as perfect as possible...i am sure he will post here soon!

Toni, Thank you for posting that. My problems were only with the blanks so I am really hopeful the new batches will be trouble free. I didn't have any problem with my prefilled RY4. I know Leaford won't rest until this is all resolved. It is hard because we hyped the hell out of MF and the good news is new users and probably most of the others that tried MF ordered prefilled.

Also, I saw your post about the grape. I am going to get some to try. I like fruity flavors and sweet ones. :vapor::vapor::vapor:

The blanks aren't really necessary unless you 1) Want to save 20 cents per carto and/or 2) Really need a blank slate for a liquid.
I just add liquid to used cartos, or I buy them on sale and blow the fluid out of them and fill them with similar flavors. WORKS GREAT and usually tastes better than blanks!

The first couple of times I used my blank MF cartos they were fine, but now that I have refilled them I get the burnt taste right away, and some of the juicies won't absorb in the filler well. I was going to try boiling them this weekend to see if the will help but now I don't know if that will work. Also my MF extended battery that I ordered with them died. I don't know what happened to it either. I was careful to not overfill and check that no juice would get into the battery since it is an auto, but it died anyway!
