I just purchased a Boge 510 set and received my halo liquid today. I was playing with the bottle and I noticed that this isnt something to play around with. Other than being really careful, what tips could you guys give me for filling ,y own boge 510 and blu cartridges?

Well I usually start with a blunt tip syringe and fill them with 1mL. After that I drip to refill 15-25 drops depending. But if you are patient and don't have a syringe, you can drip to fill it the first time. Count on about 25-32 drops to fill it the first time.
BTW, when I first started I was really careful. I used to put on latex gloves and everything. It was a big ordeal. But now I get juice on my hands all the time. It's just the nature of the game. But careful is always better and it also depends on the nic strength of the juice. I rotate between 9-18mg right now.
+1 on the first time syringe fill...alternately, take top cover and cap off, leave bottom on...drip 6drops and rotate and drip 6 more and repeat...when it starts to puddle up, set it aside for a couple of minutes and repeat until it wont take anymore, remove bottom cover and plug and then...for either, give a little blow on the mouth end to clear air tube(best into a tissue) wipe threads and you are ready to vape...at the first sign of dryness or cottony taste, top off by dripping X# of drops to keep it damp........

With the blu cartridges since they don't hold much liquid I would just drip until you see it start to get wet on top and not absorbing anymore. If you are filling Boge 510 cartomizers then the condom method is one way. There's tons of info on how to do that. Just use the "search ECF with Google" search box at the top right corner of each page and search for condom method. After you fill the cartomizer, it's a good idea to do a Taryn spin. You can find tons on how to do that also. The syringe method is also very popular or you can just drip and wait, drip and wait etc....
I don't use a syringe - I use juices that soak in well w/ no syringe needed. I have been using Boges for 9 months and I almost always get at least 10 days use out of each. I use thin juices (PG w/ 20% or less VG) and if any juice drops a lot of flavoring sediment, I find a new juice. Sediment will gunk up a carto and ruin the drag and cut its life short.
How I fill Vapor4Life KR8 cartos and Boge 510 cartos
With the carto off the battery... Pop out the soft cap with an unbent paperclip in the mouth hole, very careful not to catch stuffing or the wire loop.
Shake and open the eliquid
Fill
Hold a bit of tissue on the threaded end hole, tilt the carto, and add 18 drops per ml of capacity into the stuffing (Boges and most KR8 cartos are about 1ml).
Wait 15 seconds or so then see how many more drops the carto stuffing will soak in easily.
Cleanup
Clean up the threaded end, tilt open end down into tissue, puff into threaded end to clear air channel (Boges and the KR8 cartos I use have a defined center air channel and I want to see light through that) While the carto is still open end down, touch a soft bunch of tissue to the top of the stuffing to get the loose juice - this will help prevent leaks.
Settle (first fill only)
Cap and let it settle - I lay it on different sides for 15-20 minutes to make sure every bit of stuffing gets damp so I won't singe the carto. if you use thicker juice than me (I use 20% Vg or less) then you may need to wait much longer.
While vaping
While vaping, if the vapor gets a bit light or a bit dry or the carto is getting hotter than normal, I take the carto off the battery and add eliquid. Also, I use such light sediment-free juices, I can look at the stuffing and see if it needs juice because the stuffing goes back to near-white.
I often use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece on Boge and KR8 cartos (not to drip into since the juice would head for the central air channel). Easy to pop out to add juice.

I keep my cartos topped off during the day and would not want to carry a syringe. BTW never poke a syringe randomly into the stuffing - there are wires and stuff and you could ruin the carto. If you are going to use a syringe I think you are supposed to slip it between the inside of the metal wall and the stuffing.
I used to fill my boges like I used to fill my cartridges. Put in a few drops at a time until the top of the filler stays "wet looking" (you'll know what I mean). With the cartridge, this was fine, as the atomizer sat right up against the filler where I was putting the liquid in at. With a boge carto, it's different. The atomizer is at the bottom of the cartridge. So I would have to give it a few shakes, blow in it, wait a few min, or any and all combinations of the above depending on how much of a hurry I was in. Now I do the same thing, fill it till it's wet, and then I flip it over and put a couple or 3 drops directly in the bottom hole. This will keep the coil wet long enough for the rest of the liquid to catch up. After that, I just put it in through the mouth hole (depending on how dry I get it, then I may have to repeat the above process). I don't get technical with it. Just like when I smoked, yeah, I smacked the pack on my hand before I opened it to give them that good intial "packing". But I didn't flip one over, and I didn't count the # of lines below the tip of the cigs to see if I packed them good enough. Everybody's different.
Get one of the clear cartos with stuffing type filler in it (not the clearos.) It'll show you what it takes to get a good amount of juice all the way through. I fill from the top without syringes, but I use EMDCCs. Same principle...just larger. I really see no advantage to using a syringe to fill after trying both with a clear EMDCC. However, I keep two in rotation. I fill one and allow it to sit thread down while I use the other.
I recommend if you have auto batteries that you be extremely careful filling your cartos and make sure they are not going to leak before putting them on an auto battery.
If you have one of these laying around, they greatly assist in the whole carto-plug, pulling/replacing process.
I put the point in just enough to hook the underside of the plug, then twist it out. The plug stays put on the hook while I fill the carto, then I just pick it up with my index finger holding the plug on the hook, put the hook point in the mouth of the carto, and slide the plug into position. When I don't use this, the little plugs have a tendency to roll or bounce off into oblivion.
It came with a dull hook and a mirror as part of a Gum brand dental care kit I got at the supermarket for something like $5. I use the other tools, but I'm WAY to clumsy to be sticking something this sharp in my own mouth.

Sorry, but I don't see how a red X will help with any of that.
Daggum, I'm on a roll today.
I just use an unbent paperclip clip, into the mouthhole, but I do not stick it under the endcap (you can catch a wire there in many cartos). Instead I poke the tip into the inner wall of the endcap, about 2/3 of the way in, and take it out (and it does end up on the paperclip leg). But for my main cartos I never use it again. I put a plastic or delrin drip tip on the end of the carto instead - comfortable mouthpiece with a which channel for the vapor, and easy to pull out when you need to add juice.
