Ok, forget it...forget all the work you did for us...forget Cookies, B**bies and graphics...Let's call it hooking up a guy who did something nice for us.

Can I get 16 people to commit to send Jeff $5 to get MM a Chuck?

You had me at boobies.

I'm in.

:)

*****ATTENTION*****

Please do not offer to pay MM for the "mock-ups" of the Chucks that he is doing for y'all. Aside from the fact that I know he enjoys doing it and does it out of the goodness of his heart, I do not want to see him put in the position where he could be considered a supplier in any way, shape or form. It would severely restrict his access to all areas of the forum, and I know he doesn't want this.

Unfortunately we have to treat all suppliers/ potential suppliers the same to be fair to all. I am sure MM doesn't want money for this so best just to let him continue doing it gratis to avoid any potential conflicts...........

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

El

At the risk of getting myself booted let ME set the record straight from my perspective:

As far as I'm concerned, a supplier is someone that offers goods or services for an advertised price. The price is set and known to both parties prior to any transaction. Money is then exchanged prior to receiving "said" goods or services.

That being said...

I was raised to be appreciative and not take for granted anything, anyone does for me...Sometimes, a person wants to show how much he/she appreciates someone else's nice gesture. No one offered payment to MM. A number of us wanted to comission a registered forum supplier to create a "Thank You" gift for a friend to show our gratitude. He never asked for a thing! He didn't even ask for a Thank You!

Jee-Zus!

If you feel this way, why don't you close all the "Trade" threads on this forum...It's essentially the same thing. What's being said is, it's ok for me to trade a fellow member juice for a batt...but it's not ok for me to trade a member graphics for a mod...what's the difference...? Gray area...

Sorry MM, my thought process was one nice gesture deserves another...I believe in Kharma.

Again, for the record: MM never ASKED for anything.

OK, I've said my piece...(and maybe more) and I'm going to stop because I'm getting waaayyyy pissy.

I'll take my boot now!

CatMommy,

Appreciate your post but before this goes any further let me clarify one CRITICAL point (and a few minor ones).

I ASKED Elendil to post here so that we could once-and-for-all put it to rest. Please don't read any more into his post than my request that he help put an end to this matter.

Regardless of EFC's policy, I do NOT feel comfortable taking hand-outs/donations! Some people can afford to pay for help, some can't. IMO someone's finacial staus should never come into play. I would NEVER want to feel obligated to do a mock-up, nor would I want someone's willingness/ability to pay impacting anything!

For a number of reasons I think it's in everyone's best interest that I stop doing them. A recent error (lack of communication) I made led to a disgruntled purchaser and that could have been avoided if I'd never gotten involved. Obviously, Jeff does a phenominal job and a mock-up is not only unnecessary, but can also be misleading.

Another reason I need to stop is to focus more of my time on other endevours. I should be spending my time trying to improve my business or working a part time job. Either way, I've allowed myself to spend far to much time in pusuits that aren't necessarily in the best interest of my daughters! :)

I've promised a design/mock-up to someone (I'm working on it now!) and so I will finish that one then stop.

My apologies to everyone WRT this matter!

I totally can see your point MM. Family and work is always first.

I really appreciate the time and effort you put into mine. Especially since two of them were not simple requests at all. Those two are special because they both have some hidden meaning to me and my hubby that is far to drippy to explain except to say they represent some huge turning points in our lives.

I do agree with Catmommy but will say no more on the subject except Thank You so very much!

Sorry MM...about it all. I just wanted to make a point.

I didn't mean to be sooo cranky, but neither the Yankees or the Lakers played last night...I believe I'm going through a sports withdrawal...LOL...I should be fully back to normal after the games this evening. I will refrain from further postings until then...LOL...

I really do appreciate all you've done!
