How's that vape in relation to cotton?

I cannot discern a difference. Obviously the silica lasts longer. And can have longer tails for less squonking. I use both. Am on a visit in Washington DC now and am on silica to not be bothered by the fickleness of cotton

Yeah that's why I put a little extra cotton so I can get about 4-5 drags before squanking. But I will def try some silica out. Got a bunch of that stuff laying around from rebuilding pro tanks. Haven't even touched a pro tank since I got this thing. Lol

You could try silica. I unravel my 3mm silica and pull two threads through the micro with kanthal.

What size coil is that? I've tried this method and never been able to pull it all the way through without breaking. Any looser and the vape is too harsh.

That's on a 1.5mm drill bit (1/16" I think) CM. Be gentle and maybe hold the coil lightly with the other hand.

it should work.....when i rebuild my pro tanks i do the same thing with an entire piece of silica on same diameter coil.......so with two strands like that it would feed through just fine.......not sure on the vape but I'm gonna give it a shot

drilled out my air hole to 1/16 and wow that is a difference.......much much better......cooler vape and lots of clouds

Took me a couple of tries but I finally got it through a 1/16. Had to be gentle and go slow. Even so one broke inside and I ended up with three strands instead of four. But it vaped perfectly...no harsh taste...very smooth. I still prefer cotton (I can finally taste the difference!) but it makes a good coil for a dedicated dripper. Just dry burn and go.

Great. Maybe the silica you use is either thicker or weaker. Could possibly try 1mm silica in the same way if you have.
