Just got the Orchid V2 in todays vape mail. Built a simple 28g dual coil, at about.5, all I can say is I am impressed, speaking for strictly myself, this thing is a monster. Clouds are huge, flavor is strong, been vaping on it all afternoon. First impressions are that it blows away my Russian 91%. I am really liking the Orchid V2. Your milage may vary.

I'm all for it, it just needs more capacity n Glass tank, that's what they should have done with the new version. Imo it's not better enough than a fv4 to sacrifice the capacity and tank... Just my 2 cents.

You get your glass done yet? I know your spending a lot of time n effort to get that thing rocking I have no doubt it's going to be a killer when is done. You should have bought a few of everything in the quarts kit your doing I would have bought the finished product from ya!

Oh dont get me wrong,i completely agree, they definitely should have went glass,as for the capacity i think they were going for a smaller profile than like the foggers, but yeah the capacity definitely suffers because of that, the dual coils suck the juice down, but it's not too bad,a tank full gets me through half the day, then fill it up and it's good to go for the second half.
I haven't got it done yet,the kit came in today,so i am sending it out to another member in California tommorow morning. He is going to cut it,and will send some pictures mounted on his orchid before he sends it back,so i'll throw up a pic once i get it.I think it should add about 1-1.5ml at least, looking at it,it can be a bit over 1/4" taller than the stock tank, possibly even 3/8" more, but just guessing on the amount of added capacity since the stock tank has the buldge and the glass doesn't.I'll keep info posted on it though,as long as it makes it enough to be worthwhile,i will then pass the other members info along, maybe people interested could get the kit and send them off to him,or he may possibly pick a few up to offer up to interested people.

All we really need is for someone to fabricate/machine a longer chimney so we can use full size kayfun tanks. Then the capacity would definitely be there. FWIW I find the orchid to be better than the fogger for flavor. I'm getting better flavor than a kayfun with mine

Yeah,i think it's definitely possible.Since kayfun parts fit it,i would think that one of the companies making the quartz kits could expand that into one for the orchid.I know the quartz kits from fasttech come with a chimney section for the kayfun,so it would be nice to see that kit with a complete chimney for the orchid.Hopefully one day they will take notice and get on it.

You can just stick a Kayfun quartz nano kit on there. Problem solved.

I got my Tobeco v2 in the mail yesterday. Being used to the old Tobeco quality, I was really taken aback. Great device. They added some new features: larger juice channels, better screws that fit perfect, gold plated positive pin, and a bottom fill port.

Great tank. Waayyy better quality than my Fv4. Also much easier to build/wick thanks to the 4 post hole design and larger channels.

Basically, it's a high quality Fogger v4 which is compatible with all Kayfun parts. Win!

EDIT: Oh, and it's cheaper than a Fogger. $19 on eBay where I got mine.

Just a fyi on the nano kit with the orchid though,i did that right after getting my orchid.I took it back off after 1 tank.I can get 3ml in my orchid with the stock tank,i got less than 1.5ml with the quartz nano kit.The metal rings for the nano sit so close to the chimney that they almost touch it,so that cuts the capacity to almost nothing. That is what got me started on the quest to make the full quartz kit work.

I'm using an XL tank on the orchid V2 now. It's the Reaper Mods Kayfat kit. I got it from VaporDNA.com and it holds, I think, six mils of juice. I wish it had more air holes on the bottom, it only has one about the same size as one of the orchid's air holes. I can still get full airflow though if I use it on a box mod or a 22ml mod. On my mephisto of fat snow wolf the airflow gets cut off a bit. It's about 28.5m in diameter, so it fits flush on the mephisto.

I have been loving the Orchid V2. With all it's so called "faults", this damn item has great flavor and is a cloud machine. Personally, I may buy another one. Maybe the V3 can have a glass tank, bigger capacity, but it really works good as is, you just have to accept what it is, not wish for what it isn't. I have been using the Stillaire V2 drip tip with great results.

After finding the right build it is up there with my Magma on flavor and vapor production.

A single 3mm coil made with two 30 gauge wires wrapped about 9 times for 1.5 ohms.

Rayon through the coil parked at the juice channels. Two more wicks tucked between the negative and positive posts on each side again parked at the other two channels.

No leaks sitting on top of my kick'd Nemesis set to 12 watts. Next time I am going to try it with one continuous piece of rayon

Right now I have 28g, dual coils, .49 ohm on a 1/16th drill bit, cotton wicks. This thing is bringing great flavor and pushing clouds. It is, for me, incredibly easy to build on, I have yet to have a dry hit or a leak. It just keeps working perfectly, I can't see why this isn't the most popular RTA that exist. Fine by me, keeps prices low and stock high, if there is a V3 with a glass tank, I could see me putting one on every mod I own. I have tried different builds, they all worked well, but this really shines.

Finally got around to rewicking it. Same build I mentioned two posts ago, using a single piece of rayon.

Edit: Yes I am an organ donor, Mom had a kidney transplant (2009) and father-in-law a liver (2006). That is a jar opener I use to keep from marring the table when I use the coiling gizmo. It has also helped me unscrew a few tight tanks. [emoji6]

Refilling the Orchid V1 sucks. It really really sucks. When I unscrew it from the top, the chimney comes unscrewed as well which means the whole chamber becomes flooded. When I unscrew it from the bottom, the chimney won't screw onto the deck again without taking the whole damn thing apart. This thing is just an unusable disaster. I have a top-fill Kayfun top cap coming from FT, which should hopefully get here by October. Until then, my Orchid is going on the shelf. I wasted a good 5ml of expensive ejuice just trying to get it to work. The V2 with the bottom fill screw may be better, but the V1 is a piece of junk.
