On topic, I tried googling "Mayo clinic e cigarette" and nothing at all from them about any death.
In fact, they are extremely vague and obviously biased against e cigs.
If someone actually died from vaping and was treated at the Mayo clinic they would have it all over their website.
A quick search rips holes in the "death by e cig" story.

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. I wished to be even more specific in my description of the type of lady in question but I suspected some people might be offended. Your reaction proves me correct. It also indicates you mistook the thrust of my post. The point I was trying to make was that this was not "planted news" and the work of some undercover ANTZ plot with an agenda against vaping. It was simply a relaying of something heard or misheard, or misunderstood.

To conclude I too am a middle aged female. Fortunately I don't partake of those other qualities I chose to leave out in my description.

It's not an ANTZ plot, but it is antz(little a) work. It's a product of their hate campaign. With little to no information to go on, we have no idea what happened, as it seems this person also has no idea. In most other realms, the absence of knowledge is treated as an unknown. When vapor is involved, hate and fear fill that void.

Actually a guy at the fda workshop in June was referring to pg as oil and even used several full glasses to show the amount of "oil" (as he called it)...that one vapes into their lungs over i think it was a year's time. I haven't had a chance to read this entire thread yet but it immediately made me think about this particular presentation at the workshop so i went back and found the time marker in the webcast where he made his presentation. It was in the June 2nd presentation.

This might be one of the biggest tragedies of the anti-vaping public health campaigns. Good information gets drowned out by bad/incorrect information. People shouldn't have to rely on bad google translations for critical information. Imagine if they spent a quarter of the budget promoting vaping, developing help lines. I wonder how many of those who can't legally purchase vaping supplies turn to things that really should not be vaped.
