With the new prop 56 passing in California I figured it's time to start making my own juice, I ordered flavors from ecigxpress. Also I ordered pre mixed 3mg 70/30 juice. I mixed up a 15 mil as a test for my jawbreaker flavor. All flavors are flavor west I did jawbreaker at 5%. Hard candy at 2.5 and sweetener at 1%. I instantly tried it and it seems to have quite the harsh throat hit. I read alittle maybe add vinegar or lemon juice? Not Exactally sure what to do since this is my first time, thanks for the help on advance

You could try halfing the flavour amounts.
If it is still harsh it's likely from the nic.
Try leaving the cap off for a day or 2.
Up and outta the way of kids and pets of course.
Some alcohols may evaporate and it may get smoother.
Cheers.
Thank you for the reply, I will try a second batch, also right now I have the bottle sitting in a cup of warm water to steep it faster. I will try it again when im back from work and let everyone know

Welcome and glad you joined.

The above ref's should be considered.
As a last resort, I will sometimes use the following to "take" the edge" off a already mixed recipe:
TFA Smooth Flavor
FA MTS Vape Wizard
Harshness can also be caused by your mix. Mixes which contain Capsicum is often a harsh vape.

Here's just a small suggestion with terms, that will probably make it absolutely clear what you actually have above, when asking future questions. Experienced DIYers, like those that responded already, could tell what you were really talking about above. However, those who are fairly new to DIY or even total "newbies", may have thought you had something different.

What you bought is commonly known as 3mg Nicotine Base in 70VG/30PG, or Unflavored Nicotine Base at 3mg in 70VG/30PG, or even 3mg Nicotine in a 70VG/30PG Base.

"Juice" is usually premade, finished, ready-to-vape eliquid that you buy by the 10mL, 30mL, 50mL, etc. bottles. :)

You should Test your diluted to vapable Nicotine Base as Danny suggested.

I would suggest that you Not make a change to a Mix until the Mix has sat in a Cool Dark Place for at least 3 Days.

A Freshly Mixed e-Liquid can taste very different from one that has sat for 3 or 4 Days.

I tried adding vinegar and it should be your last resort after covering the other options suggested above. And I would do it in small increments because while it does take away the harshness, it also affects the taste, at least in my case it did. I didn't try lemon juice.
